I felt a hand gently run through my hair as I slowly woke up. I opened my eyes to see Scott smiling faintly at me, with his head leaning against his hand for support. "Morning Ela." It took a few seconds for me to realise where I was and I gently rubbed my eye with a smile. "Good morning Scotty." I sat up and looked over at the clock, 5:03. The most I've slept in...well ever. It almost made me giddy with how 'normal' my body was becoming, soon I'll be used to 3 meals a day and maybe even more sleep. "Are you hungry yet, or still getting use to all of this food?" He questioned as he gently ruffled my hair. I shrugged my shoulders slightly still not understanding how my body truly felt, my stomach was empty and I knew it but my brain isn't telling me that I am hungry. "I'll get you something small then, you have a toothbrush in your bathroom and other things." He mentioned before leaving the room which forced me to leave the warm safety of the blankets into the cold room. Do they never have the heating on in this place? I sighed and folded my arms in a weak attempt to warm myself up as I walked out of his room and into mine.
It was much warmer in my bathroom due to the fact that the radiator was still on from when Scott hung the towels up from my shower. I looked in the mirror for a second before brushing my teeth and sorting whatever was going on with my hair this morning. It felt both strange and comforting to feel so fresh in the morning and I was starting to like it. I turned the tap off and removed my jumper, staring at my bandages in the mirror. They didn't seem too bad and I examined my arms and back, sure there was a few dots of blood that had soaked into the bandage but it looked like most of them had healed. I carefully removed the bandages and debated with myself on whether or not to apply more to be safe. I examined all of the cuts all over my body and decided to wrap them in bandages again.
Once I was finished I walked out of the bathroom and picked out a new jumper to wear. It was a slightly over sized mustard yellow jumper with a small heart sewn onto the left corner. I knew Scott would try to by the most comfortable clothes there are for me so I can relax now I'm free form that place and I couldn't be happier.
I made my way out of my room and into the living room/kitchen, sitting down on one of the bar stools next to Scott. "Some of the group are in the training room so it will be quiet for a bit at least." He said through a yawn and handed me a circular thing which I just stared at. I picked up my fork and poked it before Scott put me out of my misery with a laugh "It's a pancake, don't worry. Here." He sat beside me and pulled my plate towards him, cutting it up into bite size pieces for me. I watched silently until Tony walked in with a yawn. "What did I say, you don't have to baby her, she is capable of eating her own food." He shook his head and poured a pre brewed coffee and stood on the opposite side of the island. "I'm not- She doesn't know what most of this stuff is. All she got each day in the torture base was a cup of water and a half full bowl of something that resembled porridge, god knows what it was." He mumbled the last part and slid my plate back to me. I slowly began to eat the pancake piece by piece and my face lit up at the delicious flavours. They both laughed at my reaction and Scott began to eat his own stack of pancakes. "Is that all they gave you in that place?" Tony questioned as he sipped his coffee. I nodded slightly and finished eating the pancake. "So what went on in that place?" I pushed my plate forward slightly and rested my chin on my hand. "They trained us." I looked at him as his eyebrows knitted together, as if he was trying to piece things together in him mind with all of the little details I was giving. "Us? Who is us?" He placed his mug down as Scott placed an arm around me as he knew it would pain me to explain everything. "The group, the other girls. They trained us..well mainly them to be the best they could be." I replied. Tony only got more intrigued and leaned against the island counter. "What were they training them for? And why weren't you involved?" He seemed to have more questions but only let a few out each time I spoke. "They were training them to be the best assassins Hydra could get. And I wasn't really part of that training because the serum didn't really work on me." I sighed quietly and rubbed the back of my neck waiting for more of Tony's questions to come flying out of his moth. He was silent for a few seconds before speaking up once again. "That sounds a bit like Nat.. What was the serum and what happened to you and what did you do?" I groaned quietly and looked at Scott who shrugged. I turned my attention back to Tony. "I have no clue what the serum was, it might have been one that enhanced senses, strength and reaction. And as for me, the only logical reason I can think of as for why the serum didn't work is because of this." I held my hands open as a green light danced around them (like the picture) before I closed them and it stopped. "Their training consisted of hand to hand combat training, acrobatics, weapons training and tactical skills. They were made to do ballet and had to train for hours, being punished for tiredness and messing up. But since my body wasn't accepting the serum they had me there for...other purposes. I-I was made to rehearse and play the piano for up to 14 hours a day among other things." I looked down and my hands and held back tears, the painful memories came flooding back to my mind. I bit my lip and blinked away the tears, I was made stronger than this, I put up with so much I must not cry over this little thing. I looked back up to hear Scott whisper, loudly, to Tony what they did to me, more specifically what Aleksandr did. The look of pity in Tony's face made me look away, it made me feel sick and weak. I pulled my sleeves over my hands and looked at the elevator doors opened revealing a few members of the team, Buck, Steve, Sam and Natasha. They were all slightly covered in sweat and faces a shade of pink from all of the training. I felt Scott tap my shoulder and turn me around on the stool. "I'm sorry if this is too much for you, having to relive it all again.." He whispered as the four made the way over to us for breakfast. I shoot my head slightly and gave a weak smile "I'm ok." I took a deep breath before looking back at Tony. He still had the same sympathetic look on his face and was going to speak but was cut off by Natasha. "Did we walk in on something..?"
