Meeting the team

After a short plane ride we arrived at a smaller building than before, but still huge compared to the normal buildings we saw. "Alright, home sweet home, F.R.I.D.A.Y inform the others about our arrival and tell Nat that her beloved Clint is still refusing retirement." Tony said to himself when a womans voice was heard "Yes boss." She sounded Irish, quiet a nice accent. I must have looked bewildered because Pietro commented "Thats Stark's AI- Artificial Intelligence. She is not real." I nodded slightly, still not fully understanding and stood up.

The doors opened up once everyone was ready and they all walked into the building. I watched and took in the view for a second when Clint placed his arm around my shoulders gently. "Come on, I'll introduce you to everyone else in our badass team. I promise everyone is lovely." I smiled and looked up at him slightly nodding as we walked behind the other five. Clint kept talking about how polite everyone is and will be as we made our way into what looked like the living room. There were already six people sat around, some on the sofas and two sat on bar stools at the island which was covered in paper. Steve went over to the sofa and greeted everyone and Clint brought me over with him. "Steve, introductions." Clint said while I leaned my head slightly onto his arm around me. "Alright, Quick introductions. We have Bucky Barnes- The Winter Soldier" He pointed the man sat next to him with long dark brown hair and what looks like a metal arm. "Thor Odinson- God of Thunder" He pointed to the man sat opposite them, with short blonde hair. "Natasha Romanoff-Black Widow" He pointed to the woman sat beside Thor with short red hair which was curled at the ends. "Sam Wilson-Falcon" He pointed the the dark skinned man who was stood next to him. "Bruce Banner-Hulk." He then pointed to a slightly older man with short black and grey hair who was sat at the island. "And finally the lovely, Pepper Potts." He pointed to a woman who was sat on the bar stool next to Bruce. They all said their hellos and waved. I nodded slightly, feeling awkward and looked up at Clint taking his hand that was rested around my shoulder and writing which he repeated for the group "She said its lovely to meet you all. Aw, aren't you polite." He laughed slightly and put his arm back around my shoulders. "And you are...?" Sam questioned. Tony answered before anyone else could "Oh, we still don't actually know her name yet. Or who she is, or anything about her. I am determined to get the girl to talk to us." I sighed and stood still. "So she doesn't talk, that explains the whole hand thing with Clint." Sam said while looking me up and down. I felt everyone's eyes on me, most likely making sure I wasn't a threat since they know nothing about me yet. I remained silent and leaned further into Clint, beginning to feel uncomfortable with all of the attention. "Alright, quit your examination and continue with whatever you were doing." Clint commented and sat me down on the last sofa. The three sofas were in a box shape, all facing each other but was still able to view the TV, with a large coffee table in the middle. I pulled my sleeves further over my hands and observed the team in silence, going from the conversation between Steve, Bucky and Sam, to Natasha's bored expression to Tony's stupid questions at Thor, to Bruce going over some important plans with Pepper. I then looked at Clint who was also doing the same as me and I smiled Tony said before about Clint not wanting to retire and other than the amazing work he does saving the world-from what Scott has told me- I can tell the main reason is because of his team, his family. Its sweet. I leaned onto his shoulder and kept his arm around me, soon closing me eyes.

After a while I was woken up by Clint gently nudging me "Hey, do you want anything to eat or drink?" I slowly opened my eyes and sat up properly. I took his hand and tiredly wrote 'Water Please'. He nodded and stood up, I checked my watch. Roughly 6 p.m, I had at least an extra hour of sleep. It must be due to the fact of being free from the red room that I was starting to feel normal, that meaning I'm actually tired and hungry now.

I yawned and sat back in the sofa and rubbed my eyes gently. Steve sat on the other side of me and looked at me. "Scott should be here in a few hours, so maybe then we can hear your voice." I nodded but shrugged my shoulders slightly. "Is there a reason as to my you don't talk to anyone, minus Scott of course, and why only Scott?" He turned slightly to face me and put his arm over the back of the sofa. I took his other hand and spelt out 'It Will Be Easier To Wait For Scott.' I placed his strong hand back down and placed mine on my lap. "Alright. If you say so." He said as Clint came back with a glass of ice water. "Here you are." He handed me the glass after I pulled my sleeves up to reveal my hands.

I sipped the water and listened to the conversation between Sam, Bucky, Clint and Steve. Smiling as they talked about their experiences and telling stories. I had to suppress a giggle as I watched Sam and Bucky bicker like kids while Steve just sighed and Clint looked unamused. My eyes kept wandering to my watch every ten minutes as I waited nervously but also excitedly for Scott to arrive.
