It's been eight months since your break up with Hyunjin. Eight months since you last saw him. Eight months since he broke off the engagement. Eight Months.
You were sat at a table at the JYP café taking a small break from work when your best friend Jeongin walks in and sits by you.
"What's up Nova?" He ask gently.
"Just taking a break from working.whats up with you?" You ask.
"Nothing just came down to get food the Hyun-." He starts to say.
"Say his name I don't care I.N." You say looking at him.
He sees the sadness in your eyes. "Just here getting food for the boys." He says.
You nod noticing he refuses to use his name. "How are the boys these days?" You ask.
"What I think you mean is how is Hyunjin?" He states and you nod.
"Yeah h-how is he? Is he well?" You asked
"Yes and no." Jeongin answers.
"Well I hope he's happy and still be a lovable kind self." You says.
"Yeah...." Jeongin says.
You nod and look at your watch. "Place the order I'll make it." You say and run back to the kitchen.
Jeongin orders and you make it and tell him goodbye.
Upstairs in a practice room, Stray Kids are practicing and Jeongin walks in.
"Hyunjin we need to talk and we need to talk now." Jeongin says.
"Okay maknae what's up?" He ask.
"It's about Nova." Jeongin says and w everyone looks at him.
"What about her?" Hyunjin ask.
"It's been eight months Hyunjin and she talks about you like you put the stars in the sky. You meant the world to her. You were and still her first love. Hyunjin you broke her all because she wanted to speak to you about how long you'd be gone before she saw you again.
She loves you Hyunjin. You two were engaged and you broke it off al because she was scared is losing you to your job and guess what she did." Jeongin says obviously angry.
Hyunjins heart broke at the first sentence. "S-she talks about me?" He asked his voice breaking.
"Yes she said he wanted you happy and hopefully you didn't change from the lovable Hyunjin she once knew." I.N says.
Hyunjin looks at Chan and Chan nods. Hyunjin runs downstairs to the café and ask the girl at the cash register for you.
You suddenly hear your name called and you run to the person who called your name. "Yeah." You say and fall to the you ground. "Goddamn that hurt." You say standing up and seeing the face you haven't seen and a while and you hold your breathe.
"Hyunjins here to talk to you." She says and walks away and you walk to the counter.
"Hello Hyunjin, how are you?" You ask.
"No no we need to talk privately." He say and looks at your boss who is walking up behind you and she nods
You look up at him and take your apron off and walk outside with him following. He grabs your hand dragging you into the JYP building and into a empty practice room.
"What are you doing Hyunjin?" You ask
"I'm here to make this right. I know I left but I didn't want to. It was not my choice. JYP threatened to yell your boss you were dating an idol and that would make you lose your job. So I broke off the engagement and relationship so you could keep your job because I knew you needed it because or your mothers condition." He says.
Your breathe got caught in your throat. "You hurt me to protect my job?" You ask.
He looks at you. "I hurt you to protect your mother and from hurting more than losing me then losing a parent." He says.
"Well guess what Hyunjin I lost both of you. You left me when I needed to most and didn't even tell me why. I loved you, goddammit I still love you. I needed you by my side Hyunjin. The day we broke up was the day she died. I walked into the room sad and angry and I didn't mean to start the fight but if you looked at me at me and told me that you were breaking up with me to protect me I would have told you the news but you never got the chance before you Wales out is the room." You said.
Hyunjins face fell from hope to sadness. "Honey I'm s-so sorry I should have been there baby. I'm sorry I should have listened. I should I realized that you would never start a fight unless something's wrong and that I should have known that you would never look at me and tell me not t follow my dreams....I should have known." His voice breaks and looks up at your crying face.
"Hyunjin I don't care anymore about the last I need to know that you came running down a million flight of stairs to get me back an never leave me."You say.
"That was my plan." He said.
"Then just up and kiss me and give me my damn engagement ring back."You say and Hyunjin pulls you in by your waist kissing you and you wrap your arms around Hyunjins neck. You kiss back deeply missing the feeling of his body pressed against you while kissing him.
The two of you kiss for a good five minutes not wanting to pull away because you were trying to make up for the past eight months.
You pull away breathless and panting. "I love you Hwang Hyunjin."
"I love you Kim Nova."
"I need my engagement ring back baby so we can make it official." You say and he pulls it off his pinky finger and he puts it back on your left ring finger.
You look up a him. "Don't you dare try and protect me like that again or I won't take you back." You say and with frightened eyes Hyunjin nods.
The two of you walked out of the practice room and walked into the one all of Stray Kids we're practicing in. Hyunjin joins the boys practicing and you sit back and watch Hyunjin dance watching the way his body moves perfectly.
You smiled and clapped as the finished and all the boys turn around and scream when they see you.
"NOVAAAA." They run up to you and hug you besides Hyunjin and Jeongin.
All the boys hug you then turn to look at Hyunjin mad. "Hug her." Chan says mad.
"Hey chill Chan." You say and turn him around. "I've got news." You say and all the boys look confused even Jeongin and Hyunjin walks up to you and grabs your waist and pulls you into his side and you show the ring
"Everything is going back to the way it was...well most of it all my babies debuted and I can't be more proud." You say.
All the boys yell and scream like maniacs and you smile as they pick Hyunjins up like the first time you told them you were engaged and they threw him around
You smiled and looked up saying.
"You were right mom....he will always be just mine."
