The Fourth Verse

"Thank you" I woke up to the whisper of a familiar voice, and realized that what I heard was just in a dream. I looked up on the wall in front of me and stared at the clock hanging, thinking. Closing my eyes slowly I saw Taylor's face in front of me from yesterday's dance, I saw her move away from me when the song ended and then again I heard her faint whisper of "Thank you".  

When Taylor had whispered it to my ear instantly all of the voices surrounding us faded into nothingness. Just two words from her and instantly it made me feel like we were some place else. Bloody hell, what is going on with me? 

I don't sound like the "badass" Ed Sheeran right now, I sound more like the "love sick" Ed. Crap, pure crap. 

Graham? Graham? Graham?

My phone started to ring and I rose from my bed to the study table where the phone was. "What's up?" I picked up not bothering to look at the caller ID. 

"Rise and shine princess!" I suddenly jumped at the person who exclaimed on my phone, it was Stewart. 

"I'll be down in ten, swear" I reply glancing at the clock, I was going to late for the private show practice that Taylor and I were going to do. 

"Well you better be, because Ms. Swift is already in the venue waiting" 

"Oh shit"

"You don't want the Queen to be kept waiting right?" Stewart asks teasing.

"I'll be down in ten" I repeat again before hanging up. 

I swiftly walked to the bathroom to get dressed and right after grabbed a granola bar from the kitchen. I Before leaving the apartment I snuggled Graham making sure that he'll be alright once I leave. Very feminine of me but that's how I live. 

Stewart met me outside, he was standing in front of the BMW with his shades on. "Hey mate!" I greet upon arriving.

Stewart glances at his watch then back at me, "It's been 15 minutes not 10" he says  then after chuckling at himself. What even.

I rode the car and looked through my twitter, being greeted by various from around the world instantly lightened up my mood. The radio came on and I silently looked out the window as Stewart sang to himself. 

Half an hour later we arrived in the venue and I was escorted inside the small venue. Upon entering I saw Taylor on stage playing the piano whilst singing her song. "Look who finally arrived!" One of the staff members exclaimed and I couldn't help but laugh along with the others. Taylor stopped playing and rushed down the stage.

"Great, amazing!" Taylor exclaims, "I was here since 6 sleepyhead"

"Well sorry, I was tired from yesterday night and I needed some cuddle time with Graham" I reply. Taylor playfull shoves me and takes me by the hand. 

"Come on, we need to rehearse" She says, "With lights and all"

I nod my head and together we went on stage. I was met by my guitar and I grabbed it once on the center. Taylor grabbed her guitar and the both of us checked if the microphone was working and once all the technical stuff were done, we started to play. 

"Good to go?" I ask, and together we strum to the beat of Everything has Changed. 

Taylor started to sing as usual glancing at me every once in a while and making faces. By the time we reached the chorus of the song, the stage lights turned on putting the spotlight on us. "Cause all I know is we said hello, and your eyes looked like coming home. All I know is a simple name everything has changed."

We continued to sing together and I swear at the moment I felt like it was just the two of us, singing to the same tune of a song. The two of us never looked away from each other and by the time the song ended we were both breathless and stuck in the moment. Surely, these are one of the things that never happen when we perform in front of millions of people.
