Hiding.

A day. A week. A month passed and I recieved no call nor text from Taylor. I didn't bother trying to communicate with her either since I had no idea what to say. It wasn't until Athina had told me to meet her in the small coffee shop that I saw her again. 

Upon entering I saw Taylor's familiar blonde hair hovering over Athina's shadow. What the hell was she doing here? I walked towards the table slowly and tried to act casual. "Hey" Athina greeted as I kissed her cheek. My eyes then landed on Taylor's who just looked away. 

"I bumped into Taylor today" Athina explains and hands me a fork to taste the cake she was eating. 

"Hey, how've you been?" Taylor suddenly asks me and for a moment I had no idea what to say. 

"No, the question is; how have you been?" I asked back, avoiding her gaze. 

"I've been hiding, that's all" she replies.

"Hiding from what?" Athina asks.

"Everyone, I guess" she says with a chuckle. 

"Well here's what you missed while you were busy hiding" I say, "As you can see, Athina and I are actually going quite steady" 

Taylor's expression changed so quickly that I wasn't sure if I just imagined it or not, "Congratulations! See, I told you" she smiles then moves her gaze towards Athina, "has he written a song about you yet?"

Foul.

A sudden frown came across my face as Taylor asked the question. "I only write songs about girls who have hurt me" 

"Oh, so did the girl in Tenerife Sea hurt you too?" And this time we were staring at each other. As petty as it seemed, it still felt intense and awkward all at the same time. 

Athina smiles and excuses herself, just when I was going to chase after her Taylor's hand stopped me. "That was foul" I told Taylor as I stood up from our seat.

"You didn't call me" she answers me bluntly. 

"Let's not talk about it" I reply walking away and as I did my phone rang revealing a text from Taylor: 

You kissed me.
