Singing it

Taylor was almost done with her set and I felt my palms starting to sweat, which is very rare. I don't know if I'm nervous because Athina (along with a 50 other people) was going to be watching or if it's because I was going to play the song I wrote for Taylor.

My turn came too quickly for sooner than I expected I was standing on stage in front of a crowd. I took a first glance at the audience, watching them cheer and clap their hands, Athina was right in front seating on the table with a group of other people.

As soon as I started to play, my hands just took over along with my voice. Minutes ticked by quickly as I continued on to playing, starting the mood of the crowd. Once my the first phase of my performance was done, I looked at the audience once more and found Taylor seated with Athina and the rest wide eyed as always.

This is the perfect moment for me to sing the song. Once the crowd had toned down I started to speak. "So I'm going to play something new tonight" I waited for the cheers to die down. 

A smile creeped into my face as I watched people's awaiting reactions. "I wrote this song a few days ago and this will be the first time I'm playing it"

I watched as Taylor looked at me a little confused, for this was one of the songs that she hasn't heard yet. She shakes her head with a small smile on her face knowing that I was full of surprises.

I continued to speak, "I wrote this song after the Grammys. I was in a situation at the Grammys and everything was kind of all happening at once and there was a lot of people around just talking a lot of shit. And I found the only sense that was coming out of anyone's lips or vocal box from this one person; I wrote a song about her" 

I couldn't look at Taylor but I knew she was staring at me, maybe knowing that it was certainly about her. "This is called, Tenerife Sea" I started strumming the strings of my guitar and sang.

I took a brief glance at were Taylor was and saw her unpaintable face, she was taking in the song, like how she always does when she listens.

Once finished with the song I found myself staring back into Taylor's blue eyes, they held too much secrets. In that moment I actually forgot the cheers surrouding me, it was just us. I waited for a reaction from her and when it came it took my breath away.

"I'm in love with you too" Her lips mouthed.
