Reader's POV

It was Valentine's day and you had woken up early that morning, tossing and turning as you tried to catch a few moments more of sleep. No luck. Sitting up you attempted to read your clock. "05:07" flashed back through the darkness. A sick feeling had been torturing your stomach as you tried to decipher the letters you had been receiving, there was a main suspect but you just weren't sure.

"Good morning" you called politely as you walked into the kitchen, your pyjamas lazily gripping to you. They didn't believe you knew this man and they certainly weren't going to let their daughter go out with some ‘phantom’ as they called him. This only made you feel worse as you quickly finished your food and hurried back to the comfort of your room. 

"Please.. Please just tell me I'm right." You muttered into a pillow. But just as you had returned to your room the front door bell rang, a familiar jingle rung through the house. Steps from what you assumed were your parents faded toward the source.

"Who is it?" They asked suspiciously towards the front door.

"Oh of course, yes." You heard phrased from down the hallway as you decided to peer out of your door. Your parents weren't always so formal and polite to strangers let alone friends and family. Before you could take a single step a sound forced you to take cover behind your door. 'What is that? A stampede!' In fact it was your parents carrying a large box and an envelope. 

"[Name] ! There's post for you. Quickly come out here." They sounded extremely excited from their normal behaviours. Exiting carefully you were almost pounced upon as they passed the package to you. 

"Well? Open it!"

"Y-yes" you replied as you walked back into your room, your parents following your heels.

Deciding to open the envelope first you discovered a large card decorated in artsy butterflies. 

"Ohayapu!

Did you figure it out? 

Well I hope you're ready for our date today! It's going to great, I promise.

I'll meet you at the botanic gardens ne. 

Ja, open up that big box and all will be revealed! Don't be shy my little adorable butterfly.

"Ringo!" You exclaimed as you confirmed that you were right. Your parents seemed ecstatic knowing that this person had an identity and a well-known one at that.

Following the cards instructions the box was quickly opened on your bed as your parents looked over your shoulders. "A dress!?" It was a beautiful short white lace frock. 

"It's a rather nice one too!" your parents agreed, mother wouldn't stop saying how romantic it was before they told you to get dressed and not to leave him waiting. So you did, as soon as you had ushered them out of your room.

It fit you beautifully and you couldn't help but smile with pride as you strolled into the gardens, but where would Ringo be, the gardens were quite big after all as you soon discovered by just looking at a map.

"[name] Chan~!" You heard from afar, the voice was familiar and you spun around, facing it's source. There was Ringo dressed in a casual suit and no features that could mistake him as anything else but masculine.
