Ava's POV

Hi, my names Ava Green and I go to
Goode high school, it's our last year and right  now I'm with my best friends, Kate, Mark and Percy. I might have a tiny little crush on Percy, okay maybe not tiny, I think I'm love with him! Kate and Mark are a couple so it would make perfect sense if we were a couple too! Im going to tell him really soon. He invited us to his house for a party, and I'm going to tell him there . I'm pretty sure he likes me back and is even going to give me a promise ring! I know this because I saw a ring brochure in his bag in class last week. I can't wait for the party because he lives there by himself with some friends so he has the house all to himself!

I arrive at the party with Mark and Kate and I can't believe my eyes. I say, "Are you sure we're at the right house?" Mark replies, "Positive, this is the address, unless he's messing with us." We knock on the door and Percy answers! "So it is your house!" I say amazed. "Yeah, like it?" He replies. I don't think he needs a reply from my reaction. We walk in and he introduces his friends as Jason and Piper who are a couple, Frank and Hazel who are a couple and Leo and Calypso who are also a couple. "There's someone else I want you to meet later." He says. I nod and go to get some punch. Ten minutes later he walks in with a stunning girl, I'm so jealous!! But it's probably just his cousin or something. She has blonde hair and intimidating grey eyes and she has a look that makes you think she's going through a plan in her head on how to take you down. He walks over and introduces her as Annabeth. She smiles and shakes my hand.

It was a really good party, then I notice he walks out of the room with her. When they come back she looks like she's been crying but she has a big smile on her face. He then gets everyone's attention like he has an announcement to make. This is it, I thought!! He's going to give me my promise ring and tell me he's in love with me! 

He says to everyone, " Thank you all for coming today and now that I've got an answer, we have another use for this party!" He looks at her and she holds up her finger and says, "An engagement party!" Everyone looks so happy but I accidentally shout all over the place, " What! Percy how could you do this to me, I thought you loved me! It's me you should be with not her, I love you more than she ever can!" At this point I'm crying my eyes out. He looks shocked and says calmly, "Ava, please get out." I go and little did I know I would never see him at school again after that. They'll never last I thought.

Five years later when I still hadn't found someone I was taking a walk a walk in the park, when I saw two very familiar people, it was Annabelle, I think that's her name, and Percy! Percy was holding a young toddler and Annabeth was pushing a pram, they looked really happy. Well, I guess they did last...... so far!
