Mortals Meet Percabeth!

William Hughes

Hi, I'm William Hughes and right now I'm on my way to a job interview. I'm an architect and I'm applying for a job Athenian Architectures. I'm really excited, mainly because I need this job because me and my amazing girlfriend, Alyssa, are saving up to buy an apartment. We have been together for a year and a half and it just feels like the perfect time! I asked her last month and she agreed immediately! I was so happy, and then I found out about my interview for Athenian Architectures and it was officially the best week ever!

I'm heading up to reception when I see a man about my age, though he doesn't look like he works here, maybe he's just visiting someone. He has coal black hair and bright, sea-green eyes. He walks into behind the reception and says, "Hey cuz, what's up?" The receptionist is African-American and has brown curly hair and gold eyes! She replies, "Nothing much, nearly on my break!" They talk for a bit and then he walks out of the reception and out the doors. I walk up and politely say, "Hi, could you tell me where Mrs Jackson's office is, I'm here for an interview?" She says, "Yes of course, top floor, end of the corridor, on your right!" I thank her and then make my way up.

I walk into the elevator and in there is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! Don't tell Alyssa, but it's true! She is completely natural, she has no makeup on, her curly blonde hair is in a loose ponytail with strands flying out everywhere. She has the most captivating grey eyes that make her seem very intelligent. She is definitely my type! I walk in and she looks up from her blueprints and I  say, "Nice to meet you, I'm William Hughes." She looks surprised and says, "You too, I'm Annabeth Jackson, you must be here for the interview!" She laughs as she sees the look of surprise on my face. "O-oh yeah!" I stutter. I always imagined Mrs Jackson as an old, grumpy lady, but Mrs Jackson is a beautiful, elegant, intelligent lady! We talk for a while, the interview goes great and I walk out convinced she's the one! And on the plus side, I asked Annabeth did she have a boyfriend and she said no!

I go straight home and see that Alyssa is ready to move in, but I can't go through with this. I finally believe in love at first sight. I told Alyssa that there was someone else and I know they're the one. She cried a lot and then threw all my devices down the grate into the water! She told me she never wanted to see me again and left. But I don't feel guilty, I knew it was the right thing to do! As it turns out, I got the job! I don't want to come on too strong so I'm going to wait a bit before asking Annabeth out.

6 months later.......

I can't hold it anymore, I have to ask her tomorrow. I see her every day and it's been so hard! I've never seen her with anyone so I know she's single!

Today is the day I'm going to do it! I walk into her office and see her sitting with the man from the day of my interview. Annabeth has been away for a while so it's really good to see her. The man stands up and says, "Percy Jackson, nice to meet you!" I smile and say, "Hi, nice to meet you, William Hughes!" I turn to Annabeth and say, "Good Morning, I haven't seen you in  a while!" She laughs and looks at Percy, "Yeah." I wonder what that's about. I talk to Percy for a while and I don't notice her walking over to get the blueprints in the cabinet.  When she's coming back she says, "William, did you sort out those files I gave you?" I say, "Yeah, they're in your top drawer! Wait WHAT!" I scream all over the place. When she was walking towards us, I noticed that she has a baby bump!! SHE'S PREGNANT! "Who did this to you?!" I shout. I'm so confused! She laughs and says, "Well, I hope my husband did, because then I'd be pretty worried!" And he kisses her before leaving the room, so it's just me and her. I scream, "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME, I THOUGHT WE HAD A CONNECTION!" She looks surprised and says calmly, "No, we didn't." I shout, "YES WE DID!" Then I kiss her, well try to kiss her, she pushes me away and judo flips me! The day didn't end well, my heart is broken, my dreams are crushed and I think you already know, I GOT FIRED!
