their conversation floated into the air and disappeared with the rest of the crowd's noise, leaving them yelling at each other just to get their message across.

have you spoken to him yet?

to who?

you know, danny. didn't he send you a message after you posted that picture of you and matt?

there's a saying about how silence could be so loud, it brings you deafness. though the saying itself is a paradox, it doesn't mean it isn't true. right now, the silence between them rang louder than the noise of the crowd.

she sighs.
i only told him to back off.

everyone starts somewhere.

no one liked talking about exes, especially the ones who cheated on you for about three years with at least four other women, but no one liked extra baggage hanging around them either.

i've talked to matt after your recital. you know, get to know him a little more. he seems like a great guy.

she laughs.
are you perhaps falling in love with him?

no! i'm just saying, he sounds like a great guy. if anyone's falling in love here, it's you.

i am not. joba's just a fun person to talk to.

yeah right.

maybe their conversation goes on for hours, like it always does. it wasn't uncommon for the two to just hang around the al fresco of some new vegan joint. often times, if they weren't busy, you'd see them at a new place every weekend. they'd split the bill on their meals, take some pictures, sometimes shop. it was their weekend schedule, and since it was a schedule, they stuck to it, and since they stuck to it, it wasn't hard to track them down.

they say consistency is key, but sometimes, one should deviate from the norm—step out of their comfort zone; maybe opt to stay inside for once, or move shopping centres. otherwise, unforeseen and unwanted circumstances can appear.

gabby?
