I remember the morning it all begun. My mom rushed into my room to awake me, as usual, but this time, she was more hesitant about it. Right then and there, I knew that something bad was about to happen.

- "Nubia, please wake up. I have some news for you, and I believe that we should speak properly of this. Breakfast will be served within minutes, please meet me in the dining room when you're prepared."

- "Alright, Mother."

I never thought, not even, the thought never crossed my mind, that one day, I would disrespect my mother so much as I did that day. After I had finished dressing up, brushing my long, slick, black hair, and had fed my loyal partner, a half dead goldfish, I headed downstairs. My mother spent around twenty-six minutes, fifteen seconds, and three milliseconds explaining where I was going, but all that went through my little, overdressed ears were the words "boarding school."

- "You could never!", I blasted loudly.

"How could you do this? You know how important proper education is for me! Not being near you and father is going to affect my learning harshly! And plus, in America?! Are you out of your mind? We're in Egypt, Egypt I tell you dear mother, Egypt!"

- "Nubia, do not speak to your parent with such hatred. This is the best for you, I should know that. You will come back in no time, it's just two years, and you'll see us every summer vacation. Now, please don't argue with me, we don't have time to spare. Pack your bags darling, your flight leaves in three hours."

- "I don't wa-"

- "Nubia, listen to your mother! Go upstairs right now and do your packings. I can't believe we spend so much money on you and your future and yet you still disrespect us with such carelessness, despicable!"

I sighed, and groaned, and maybe almost cried, but with a smile on my face I said, "Yes, Dad."
