I got ready that morning, as nervous as I've ever been. What do you wear to your first date? It's not like I haven't been to one before, but at a pet store? I dug through my closet deciding on a shirt with a bunny on it. Who doesn't love bunnies? I attempted to curl my long brown waves, and put mascara on my long lashes. I looked at my big brown eyes in Mirror, and thought about the night before.
I am in love with a boy.. This might be the first time this has actually happened to me. I mean sure I have cared about people in the past, and I've dated before but I've never felt like this...
I heard a knock, and opened the door to Jason standing there. "Hey" he said with a large grin on his face. obviously he remembers our conversation last night as well. "Ready?" he asks "Never" I replied. I hate hamsters...
He laughed at my response. "It will be fine I promise" he replied taking my hand, startling me. "Woah, wasn't expecting that" I though to myself, definitely blushing as he pulled me through the door.

We walked into the pet store, and I definitely considered running back through the door before Jason grabbed my hand. "Hey, you aren't going anywhere" he said winking at me, and kissed my cheek " Don't be scared, I'm with you".
We walked forward, as the woman from the register came around the corner. She looked to be about the same age as us, with blonde waves over her shoulders, and bright blue eyes. I always wished I had blue eyes.
"Can I help you?" she asked smiling. "Yes, we were actually looking for the hamsters" Jason told her, and I shuttered at the word. " Right over here" she said leading us over to a glass cage. "Thanks" he said as she walked back to the register.
"Go ahead, pick one up" he said to me. " No thankyou" I said crossing my arms, as if it would prevent the activity. "Jason stuck his hand in and pulled out a little ball of fur. I squealed, and stepped back a couple steps in fear. "Hell no" I said, as he took my hand pulling me closer to it.
" Come on Jesse, don't be such a baby!" He laughed at me, and I inched my hand closer to it, shutting my eyes. My hand met something soft as velvet. I opened them, and stroked the little animal in front of me. "Oh my gosh, I'm really doing it!" I said excitingly. "Yea, you did it" Jason said smiling down at me, hamster still in hand. " ok put that thing down, before it bites you or something" I told him. "Haha, ok. Is there anything else you want to look at?"
"Yes! Let's go look at the turtles! I love turtles!" I said, really close to jumping up and down. "Wow, ok your enthusiastic" Jason replied.
We walked over to the turtles, and I picked a little one up from the tank. " Can we get him? pleassssssse?" I begged him. Jason laughed " Sure, but you have to pick out a tank and everything for him." With that, I practically ran down the isle.
