IMAGINE FOR
adleyrivers

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping just outside my window. Peeling my eyes open, I let the soothing sound of nature relish me as blinding lights of the sun start to pool into my room. I stretch out my limbs and check my alarm clock. I jump when I see what time it is.

"Shit," I cursed and immediately get out of bed. I'm 10 minutes late for work. Let's just hope that my boss, Maia, isn't there yet. Even though I doubt that a tinge of hopefulness still sparks within me. Rushing over to my closet, I grab my usual attire for work and make a run into my bathroom. Brushing my teeth, scrubbing my body and washing it, then drying it, takes a total of 6 minutes.

World record! I cheered, putting my clothes on and quickly rush down the stairs. I make myself some coffee and pour it into a thermos. Taking a sip, I pass my living room, heading towards the front door and locking it once I got out. I dash to the cafe just across my street and get in with a slight pant.

"You're lucky Maia isn't here yet," I hear a voice said behind me, I spin around only to come face to face with another worker, who is also my friend, Tyler. "She'll have your head in a second."

"Fun," I drawl out, rolling my eyes, "Another head for her now growing collection." Tyler chuckles at my statement as I put my badge on. He told me to go and serve table number 12, handing me a tray filled with a cup of black coffee, cappuccino, espresso and a coke. I easily balance it on my right hand and walk over towards the table.

"A cup of black coffee, cappuccino, espresso and a coke?" I asked once I reached the table, raising an eyebrow. I lift up my gaze only to be met with four others. I slightly freeze at their intense gaze on me, but my eyes wander off and stay fixated on a certain turquoise eye. My gaze trails him from top to bottom, his white streak of hair a contrast from his dark, raven hair. He's wearing a leather jacket and a white t-shirt underneath that clings onto his lean physique.

"Yup, that's us," One of them said, his calming blue eyes boring into mine. Again, I discreetly trail him up and down. He has a mop of black hair and a playful smile etched on his face. He too has a lean body, though a little more muscular than the other...and older. I scrunched my eyebrow at the thought. The blue blouse he's wearing is unbuttoned on the first two buttons, showing off his broad chest.

"Dick," He said, making me peel my eyes away and shoot daggers at him.

"Excuse me?" I snapped, he looks confused at first, but it soon fades away as a sheepish smile forms on his face.

"Sorry," He said, scratching the back of his head, "What I meant was, my name's Dick." I raise my eyebrow at him while he shrugs.

"Jason," The one with the white streak of hair said, a smirk playing along his lips. "That's Tim." He points at a boy with shaggy hair and blue eyes, slightly darker than Dick's, that are fixated on a tablet in front of him. He lifts his head up once he heard his name and gives me a small smile. "And that's Damian." He nods his head, motioning at another boy with trimmed hair and a pair of ocean eyes. He simply nods at me while I return it with a smile.

"Well, it's nice knowing you," I said, mockingly salute them then start to leave the table, but was cut short when a hand grasps my wrist. I turn around to see Jason's turquoise eyes boring into my e/c ones. I gulp at the intensity of it and slowly retract my hands.

"We told you our name, aren't we gonna get yours?" He asked, a smirk still on his face. I raise an eyebrow at him and tap at the badge I'm wearing. His mouth turns into a small 'o' as realization kicks in. The others start snickering at him while I smirk at his now flushed face. "Right, I-I..."

"Y/n! Come on, quit flirting! There are tables you need to serve!" I roll my eyes at what Tyler said and thank God that not many people are here. I give the boys a smile and carry the tray back. I pass through Tyler who gives me a mischievous grin and kissing sounds when I'm finally at the back.

The day passes by in a blur as my mind keeps wandering back to a certain green-eyed boy. His smirk that plays along his lips, the white streak of hair, and the confidence oozing out of him itch me at the back of my mind. I could tell that he has a great sense of humour with how he makes his brothers laugh whenever I peek out of the small window on the door that separates me from him.

Though as I take a closer look at his eyes, I see something that's a contrast to his usual smile or smirk that's on his face. Is it grief? Hurt? Or is it loneliness? He looks broken and misunderstood. I don't know what he's feeling exactly, but I'm trying my hardest not to sprint outside and give him a bear hug.

However, as I start to drown in the midst of 'Jason-ness', (A/N – a disease most of are experiencing. Lol sorry, you may continue) his blue-eyed brother starts creeping up. The playful smile that's always etched on his lips, his sharp jawline, and the wink he always sends my way whenever I pass by him make my heart skips a beat. I could hear his laugh all the way from here and it sends an involuntarily chill down my spine.

But the same thing is going on with him as it is with Jason. I want to help them both, but deep down, I know that I could only choose one.

I wipe the round table before me relentlessly, trying to rid my mind from the two angels stuck in it. Come to think of it, Jason's not really an angel with this badass vibe coming from him. Maybe a fallen angel? I shake my head at the thought. So much for getting my mind off of them.

I've finished cleaning my table and move on to the next. I freeze once I realize that it's the boys' table. The cup of black coffee was drunk halfway, both the cappuccino and espresso finished while the coke still has a little left. I start piling them on the tray but stop when I see a small note under the cup of coffee.

+1 XXX XXX XXXX

Call me:) - Dick

A ghost smile spreads across my lips, but a bubble of laughter starts making its way up my throat when I saw another number sprawled across the note.

+1 XXX XXX XXXX

Not him, me. - Jason

I didn't mean to, but I tense up when I re-read the two numbers that are written on the piece of paper in my hand. I don't know what I'm going to do as a memory of what I said not long ago pops up in my head.

I could only choose one.
