Young Love: Jonathan Brandis x Y/N

New Year's Party

A/N: Hey guys! So since it's New Year's Eve, I thought I would write this based are that. I got the party and kiss idea from ryvhjg , but I put my own little spin on it with the New Year's theme. Also, I'm going to just say it's December now in the story. Obviously it would have to be for the chapter. It's also Monday, since New Year's Eve is on a Monday. So you are on Christmas break still.

I wake up to the smell of breakfast. I look down and see that someone has their arms around me. I look up and see a sleeping Jonathan. I smile and feel the butterflies in my stomach for a brief moment. My stomach starts to rumble. I carefully remove Jonathan's arms from over me. I walk into the kitchen and see that my sister, Molly, has cooked pancakes and for us. She starts to tease me about Jonathan. I took my eyes and go to wake Jonathan.

I walk over to him and brush some stray hair from his face. "Jonathan." I say lightly. I tap his shoulder. "Hmm?" He hums sleepily. "It's time to get up. My sister made us breakfast." You coaxed. When you said breakfast he shot up and ran to the kitchen.

We started eating and talked about what to do for the day. We decided to called Corey.

On the phone

"Hey guys Y/N. River is here too." He says. "Hey! I say. Ok. Jonathan is here with me." I say. "Oh hey Jonathan." He says. "Oh by the way. Meet us at the park. I gotta go. So I'll see you in a few. Bye guys." He says and hangs up.

Time skip to park

"Hey Jonathan. Hey Y/N." River says. smirking at me when we walked up. I glare back at him and he just smirks more. "So where did you guys go after the movie?" He asks us. I role my eyes and tell him we just went home. "Mhmm." Corey chimes in. I role my eyes again and we talk for a while.

Time skip

"So guys. I'm having a New Year's Eve party tonight since my parents are in Time Square for it. I'm inviting all of our grade. You should come. It's going to be really fun. It starts at 7:30 tonight and goes till 12:00 obviously. You better be there." Corey tells us. "Great! Sounds fun!" River and Jonathan say. I still have doubts since the last party that I went to, but I might as well. "Ok. I'll go." I say hesitantly.

The boys cheer and I role my eyes. Jonathan suddenly puts his arm around me. I blush and look down so that no one sees the sudden tint of pink on my cheeks. The other two split from us and walk to their cars. Jonathan walks me to mine and tells me goodbye and that he'll see me tonight. I say goodbye to him also and get into my car and drive home.

Once I'm home I quickly get all of my homework done so that I have a little time to relax before getting ready for the party. Soon enough I'm ready and it's 7:30. I get my bag, tell Molly goodbye, and head to the party. On the way there, flashes of the last party go through my head. I start to get worried because I know there will probably be alcohol there tonight and I don't want a repeat of last time. I'll just have to be careful, stay sober, and have fun tonight.

I arrive at the party just on time. I walk in and Corey, Jonathan, and River see me and walk over. I hand Corey the chips that I brought. "Oh thanks!" He says. "No problem." I say smiling.

"Hey Y/N. Can I talk to you before everyone arrives?" Jonathan asks me quietly. "Of course." I say. He takes my hand and pulls me into a room where it's quiet. I see that Jonathan starts to get nervous. He takes a deep breath and scratches the back of his neck briefly. "So I have been wanting to tell you this since I met you. I just never had the courage to do it. Umm...I..." He says, clearly nervous. "I like you Y/N. I like you a lot. And not just as friends. Every time I'm around you, I get butterflies. You are someone that I can always talk to and tell everything to. You make me really happy." He finally says. I stand there speechless for a moment trying to process what had just happened and what came out of his mouth. "I feel the exact same way Jonathan!" I say happily. He pulls me into a big hug.

"Well, if we both feel this way about each other, would you be my girlfriend?" Jonathan asks, looking into my eyes. "Of course! I would love to!" I say as we hug again.

Time skip to 11:30

It's 30 minutes until midnight and I start thinking about how there is a kiss at midnight to start the new year off. I'm sure that Jonathan and I are going to share that kiss. We haven't left each other's side since we talked earlier. It's obvious that we are dating now because of all the affection we are showing towards each other. Everyone is happy for us except for one particular person. Amber. She's the bitch that ran into me in the hallway on my first day of school.

Ever since my first day she has hated me and threatened me about not being around Jonathan. The typical bitch thing. Of course I ignore her every time. She hates my guts though, and now I bet she wishes I was in hell. She is sitting across from Jonathan and glaring daggers into me. Do I care? Of course not. I just flaunt that I'm now dating Jonathan even more, just to piss her off more.

Corey comes into the middle of the room and tells everyone to get a drink so that he can do a midnight toast after the kiss. "I'll go get us drinks." I tell Jonathan. "Ok baby. Hurry back." He says smiling at me. I get up and go to the soda. There is a long line now because everyone is getting a drink for the toast.

Time skip to 12:00

It's about a minute until midnight and I'm one person away from the soda. I hear everyone start counting down from five. I finally get our soda and walk swiftly into the room where Jonathan is, being careful not to spill our drinks. It seems I was just a second too late. Everyone starts celebrating as the clock strikes 12:00. I look around to find Jonathan. But when I see him, my heart shatters. The kiss that he and I were supposed to share was now being shared with Amber!!

I can't believe my eyes. I'm so mad! I go up to Amber and pull her off of Jonathan. I know that this can't have been Jonathan's fault because he just poured his heart out to me. I know it was HER fault. As soon as I pull her off of Jonathan, I tackle her in a fit of rage. I slap her so hard that my hand print was left on her face. I then proceeded to pull her closer to me by the collar of her shirt. "You will not come near me or Jonathan EVER again! Do! You! Understand?!" I say through gritted teeth.

The look on her face is priceless. She is terrified. She quickly nods. I let her go and walk to Jonathan. He smiles at me and says "Wow Y/N. I had no clue you had that in you. I was worried you thought it would be my fault." "Nope. I knew it was her. I'm not letting anyone come in between us." I said confidently and then glared at Amber who was cowering in fear. "Shall we go then babe?" I ask, looking up at Jonathan. "We shall." he says, pecking me on the lips, and we leave with everyone's eyes on us. What a way to start the new year. 😁
