DAY: 212

Lark

I woke up to a soft breeze against my skin and sunlight blowing in through the curtains. Thor was pulling them over the windows that were open.

"You sleep longer than most of the women of Asgard." Thor said as he turned around and looked at me. He was still wearing his Earth clothes. "Especially those who are with child."

"I'm not like most women." I answered him, sitting up. I felt the empty space beside me and it took me just an instant to realize that Bucky wasn't there with me. But then I had remembered that I had to make myself appear to be normal and people finding out that Bucky had been here wasn't the best idea.

"That I can agree on with you, Lark." Thor said smiling. "You are certainly not like most women of Earth or Asgard, which does impress me more than I can say."

"I can tell by the way you smile at everything I say that you're pretty impressed." I point at him and he smiled wider.

"You are true once again." Thor seemed overly happy in that moment.

"Can I ask what you're doing here?" I said.

"Stark sent me to wake you. You've been asleep for hours and he thought that it was time for you to rise." he answered.

"Tony huh?" I rolled my eyes and swung my feet over the edge the bed, touching the cold floor. I pulled on my socks and shoes which had been laid out on the floor next to my feet. They were fairly easy to get on, considering that I had to bend over.

"What time is it?" I asked. Thor looked at me. "Oh, right." I yawned and looked around the room for a clock. There was one positioned directly above the door and it read two in the afternoon. It wasn't the late and usually, if I was at home, that's about how long I'd actually sleep in for.

I looked over at Thor and found that he looked nervous, more so than I had ever seen him before.

"What's bothering you? You're usually happy and more cheerful than the rest of us here."

"Stark also tasked me with making sure that you knew that he had important matters to discuss with everyone once you were awake. He spoke of men called Hydra and their positions." he added a moment later.

"Why didn't you say something first off?" I asked him, standing up and heading for the door

"Lark!" Thor hissed, suddenly he was there, blocking me.

"What?"

"Do not leave this room." he whispered.

"Why not? What's happened?"

"The men that I spoke of are here. Outside this room." he answered me, his voice loud enough for only me to hear him. "They sent me in here to trick you into coming out there."

"What do we do then? There isn't really much that we can do in the way of getting out of here. I can't fly or stretch myself out enough and I'm not bullet proof. If those men are really out there in the hallway then we're screwed."

"We could fly, but there is no gaurantee that they will try and hit us with their weapons."

"Fly? What do you mean fly?"

Thor lifted his hand out and Mjolnir suddenly flew straight into it through the wall.

"Right, hammer." Thor wrapped his arm around me quickly and pulled me with him out onto the balconey, his clothes turned into armor in seconds and he began spinning his hammer above his head. The door to the room burst open behind us and Hydra guards entered with their guns raised.
