DAY: 692
Larkin Evey Treadwatter
An entire year passed since I had Will. Since his birth I had begun to pay attention to everything else around me, the world in particular seemed strange and alien.
My brother and sister were alive, that I was told from the start. But I didn't have a way of knowing where they were or if they were alright. I did miss them, more than I had ever before. My father was killed. Bucky told me one night when I woke up from a nightmare about him hurting innocent people.
Bucky and I stood in front of a grave, I held a sleeping Will in my arms. The spring wind blew in softly, my bangs hanging in front of my eyes a little. Bucky had his arm wrapped around my shoulder, holding me close. The cemetary we stood in was for those who had died since Hydra's attack on the world. There were hundreds of unmarked graves, many of which were engraved with helmets, representing the unknown soldiers and military personnel who lost their lives.
Some of the graves I knew belonged to old friends. Not knowing where their body was laid to rest, or whether or not a body had been recovered at all, broke my heart.
But Bucky and I stood in front of my father's grave. As much as Fury debated and argued, I had him buried. So there he laid, in the ground, in a coffin. Fury paid for it all, the coffin especially. There was no funeral, as my father never wanted to have one for himself.

The stone was grey, the letter engraved beneath a decorative wreath. I hated my father for what he did to me and countless others. I hated his relation to Hydra and SHIELD, I especially hated that he manipulated his own children for a personal gain. But, what I hated more was that I didn't get to tell him goodbye. No amount of time would fix it, numerous visits to the graveyard wouldn't lessen the frustration and pain. The last memory I had of him, was in the cell, asking why he'd done all those terrible things in the first place.
Bucky kissed my temple softly and I looked down to Will, who had his head resting against my shoulder, he wiggled slightly and his eyes opened for a moment. I kissed his head sweetly. William had taken to looking like Bucky, but he had my eyes and was already gaining a few freckles. He had a shock of dark brown hair on the top of his head that stood up on it's ends like it was staticky.
"We should go," Bucky whispered to me, his thumb wiped across my cheek.
"Yeah." I nodded and sniffed, I wiped my nose instinctively and then under my eyes. Bucky kissed my temple again.
We turned and walked across the empty lot of grass to a path. There were two cars waiting for us there. The door opened and Remy stepped out, along with Banner. I wiped my eyes and tried to smile again,
"Lark." Remy said, smiling at me. "You look lovelier each time I see you."
"Remy, how are you?" I asked as he pulled me in for a hug.
"I'm just fine. How are you doing?" he asked me, looking down to William with a smile as he started to wake up and coo. "Well hey there little guy."
Bucky walked around the car and shook hands with Banner, they began to talk.
"Well ain't he a cutie." Remy said, I looked back to him. Will seemed to smile a bit as Remy made a face, puffing out his cheeks with his tongue sticking out.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him after a moment.
"Banner has some news on the Aether treatment he's been working on." Remy answered, standing up straight and stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Banner's telling Bucky, I'm supposed to tell you."
