DAY: 210
Lark
As soon as Natasha said she needed an hour I got an idea stuck to my head. I went to my room and changed out of my clothes and into things that fit me more appropriately. I pulled on my old boots and kept Bucky's jacket with me. When I opened the door Steve was standing there.
"I know that look." he said as I stood there. "You've got an idea."
"Yeah." I walked around him out into the small living room and lifted up one of the cushions of the couch. I had hidden my knives.
"When did you have time to do that?" he asked me, walking over. I pulled my knives out and shoved them into my boots.
"When I first got here, I guess. I don't actually remember putting them here but I had a dream that they were there." I told him. "Either way, we're probably going to need it sooner or later."
"Why are we going to need it?" he asked as I pushed the cushion back down into the sofa. "Lark, can you just stop for a minute."
Steve grabbed my shoulders and turned me to look at him, "What is the plan here?"
"It's a stupid plan but it's been running around on a track in my head. Natasha said she needed a few hours. Well I can get us a few hours in a level above this one." I answered him. "It sounds crazy but I know a way to get up there. I just need a gun and you to stand behind Natasha prepared to throw a fist."
Steve let go and crossed his arms over his chest. "That is crazy."
"There's a door in the room where the guards lined you up to get here. I've seen guards open it and go through. I have a part of a hunch that it's a fast elevator shaft based on the noise it makes after that door closes." I told everyone after Steve made me go back and explain myself. "The trick is, it's very fast and it doesn't take long to get where you're going. But we should technically prepare for anything, slow or fast, guards or no guards, there is still a risk of just going at this."
"What's the other part?" Remy asked. "I'd like to know because it does sound stupid to my ears."
"There is a control panel on the side with arrows pointing up and numbers." I answered quickly. "The numbers go only to negatives so I'm presuming that that shaft will take us up to the surface. But to get into that elevator it means we'll have to do a little persuading."
"What kind of persuading?" Natasha asked, she was catching on.
"The kind of can't do anymore."
"My specialty." she said, grinning.
Steve rolled his eyes and started walking out, "I'll get ready."
Natasha gave me a look.
"What? I just told him that we'd need some help." I told her.
"She really did!" We heard Steve call from out in the hallway.
I pointed to the door and nodded.
"What's my job?" Peter asked.
"You get to run in and our to check for guards, I know you're fast. I've seen what you both can do." I said. "Just do whatever you can to help."
"So are we riding the shaft to the surface or are we taking it to the level above?" Banner asked.
"We should be able to ride it to the surface, but if something happens we'll just take the stairs."
"There are stairs?" Remy asked.
