'For the love of God' I groan annoyed as I hear another rip take place in my dress, there's a Ball I'm being forced to attend which according to my mother.

"Will be the best opportunity to find a suitable husband"

And my father

"The best opportunity to find a wealthy man who will help promote our business ventures! Do not lose chance!"

I grimaced as I could almost hear his loud words, I could almost feel his spittle.. I sigh loudly as I squint through the darkness trying to see if I'll find a tailors shop at this hour. Oh my mother and being fashionably late! I keep telling her that's for rich people.

I huff and hear and another rip of the insufferable 'gorgeous' dress my mother practically forced onto my body something about looking as 'attractive' as possible because no woman with a husband got him from looking ordinary. I sigh one more time before looking out through window and that's when I see it; A lit window with a few fabrics on display. I sigh in relief before telling the the driver foe my carriage to stop at the shop.

"Hello! Excuse me is anybody here!" I shout out into the seemingly empty shop. "Hello! Oh God could this night get any-"

"Oh hello I'm sorry I was in the back" a male voice cut me off, I turn to meet the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. "How may I help you?" He says as he assessing my dress. I say nothing.

"Um.. ma'm?"

"Oh sorry.. um yes I have this rip here." I pause to point at the one at my waist. "And here." I turn to show him the one at the back. I glance curiously at the young man who oddly enough had a sly look on his face. I arch a brow at him and watch as a smile grows on his lips.

"What?" I ask suspiciously.

"Nothing." He chuckles pointing to a dressing stool to which I climb.. still suspicious. "It's just from your cloths I can tell your well endowed but from this 'rip' I can see this was no accident" he says lightly fingerings the outfit (a//n: No you perverts no😬).

I sigh trying to squash the embarrassment and guilt creeping up my chest, so I might have seen this particular dress earlier that week when the seamstress was making it with the measurements she had but that doesn't mean I was the only one who had been alone with that dress while holding the seamstresses scissors nor was I the only one who had thoughts of undoing the seams ... nope not me.

The tailor continued to watch me with an eyebrow raised in amusement and I just huff in annoyance.

"Can you fix it or not Mr?"

"Hercules Mulligan, and yes I can miss?" I smile before telling him my name as he set of to work on the almost ruined outfit.

"So Mr Mulligan-"

"Please call me Hercules, Mr Mulligan was my father." Hercules made a small bow delighted that he was able to get a smile and giggle out of you before actually trying to fix the mess you'd made. "So mind telling me why exactly you would need a dress fixed at 9:22pm?" Her questioned as he threaded a needle and picked some push pins.

"Well there's this ball and-" You start telling Hercules all about why your going to the ball and how much tou don't want too. Hercules for his part nodded and talked when he felt like he needed too, soon enough he finished but the two just kept talking about anything and everything, but eventually all good things must end.

"Oh would you look at that." I question relived but slightly disappointed.

"Why do you look so downcast? You willingly agreed to go to this ball to appease your parents." Hercules stated
