Not long after Ally opened up to me, she left. Kept looking at her watch every 2 minutes or so and finally pulled out her phone. Apparently her dad texted her or something. She ran out of the coffee shop in a fluster and left me with the bill. After I scraped together the money with coppers and silvers. I like spare change, I don't know why but I appeals to me.

I started my walk back to my 'home'. I didn't really want to go back so I trailed aimlessly back, I even found the time to go into the music store to find any new albums. I like Nirvana, Motionless In White and Type 0 Negative. But there was nothing even vaguely interesting there.

I wandered back to my house, guessing what mood mom would be in when I got there. She would probably be drunk, I knew what Ally was going through. But she would probably be annoyed at me for disappearing. My house was the second on the street, so when I turned the corner, I glanced to see if the windows were open, if he was even home.

There was an unfamiliar car parked on my drive, a big red jeep. Confused, I pushed my hair back from my forehead and opened the door.

"Mom! I'm home!" I slammed the door for effect.

"Taylor! We're in the living room."

We? I was curious now. It must be someone that knows me as my mom never invited me in to see visitors. I slowly walked into the living room and braced myself.

I hadn't gotten through the door properly when I was attacked and pulled into a fierce hug that robbed me of my breath.

My attacker pulled back and looked up to me with gentle brown eyes. My sister, Rebecca.

"Taylor! Oh I've missed you, you've grown so tall!" Rebecca looked the same as when she left, short with long brown hair and gentle brown eyes. She was normally smiling but her eyebrows were always pulled up, giving her a constant concerned expression.

"Rebecca, I've missed you too. No offence but why are you here?" I didn't want to offend her but she never visited so it must be serious.

She lost her smile and her eyes started glistening. Then she smiled again, though this time it was a smile of sympathy or pity.

"It's dad, Taylor. Dads dead."
