Beside the seashore with the flicking lights of the passing boats
There on the beach lays a broken sand dollar
The roaring sea comforts me, saving me
From all I carry
Then you came with eyes of curiosity
Haunting black and sweet
Like the engulfing night
Silently beckoning
For an adventure to relief an unrelenting stiffness of the everyday
I belong here with you
But the world cries around me
I will fly away across the sea
Far away, far away to an island I am bound to stay
I must be strong
Because they need you
Because I care deeply for you
When you close your eyes now
I will be gone from this land we share
But my love for you will continue you
Darkest of night and lonely seas
But the stars will burn brighter than you realize
It may be destiny that sheds our tears
You must hold me close in dreams and memories
You must not weep even with the howling night inside of you
You must fly in all you do
You must have courage
Far above the everyday, far above the everyday you are bound to stay here
You must be strong
Because they need you
Because I love you
You close your eyes now
And I will be gone
But my love for you will go on
