Alexandra drove back home in her car, the radio playing softly. Her four month old daughter Juliette sleeping in the back. She was on her way home when she got a text. 'B back l8 c u l8er, luv U both' from her father. He had recently started using abbreviation and was sort a getting used to it. Lexi really didn't want to make dinner for herself. It was always more of a hassle than what it was worth. She quickly made a u turn remembering a little dinner she saw on her way to school. Juliette stirred in her seat at the movement. The restaurant was called Pinky's Place. The whole thing was a horrible pink color. Lexi grabbed her daughters seat and her back pack. Maybe she could do some of her homework while she was here. As she walked in the door a cute boy came and asked her where she wanted to sit. Lexi asked for a window seat, she knew Juliette liked watching things outside so maybe she would enjoy that. The same boy came back giving her a water and a menu. Lexi paged through it and decided on a Caesar salad and a Diet Coke. Once he came back she order. Lexi quickly fed Juliette a bottle before setting her onto her lap and holding her with one hand and doing trig with the other. The boy dropped her food off and left his phone number. She rolled her eyes and tossed the paper to the side.

Trying to eat while holding a baby was very complicated. "Need some help there?" A deep voice asked from above her. It was Monica's older brother, she met him in the hall. The jerk didn't even bother looking at her at the time. "Oh hi Paul" she said looking up at him. Something about his eyes seemed to stop her heart for a second. She could feel butterflies erupt in her stomach. It was like she melted just by the way he looked at her. Paul seemed to feel it too. He seemed to gaze into her eyes like his life depended on it. He made a silent oath to himself to never hurt her.

Once they both where out of their trance, Paul smiled " Hello Alexandra" he said sticking out his hand. She giggled and shook it. "I saw you from the window and thought maybe I should come and help you. Plus I wanted to talk to you about Monica." He said putting his hands into his pocket. "Oh please sit down!" Lexi gestured. "Can I hold her?" Paul asked looking at Juliette. Lexi stood up and handed her baby to Paul. She immediately grabbed his large fingers and started playing. "So what did you need to talk about?" Lexi asked starting to eat her food.

"Well I wanted to tell you, thank you for becoming friends with Monica. She doesn't have very many girl friends I thought maybe you would be good for her. Especially with Ossie's first birthday coming up, so I just wanted to thank you" Paul told her sincerely.  "Paul, you don't have to thank me for being friends with your sister" she laughed "I'm friend with her because I genuinely think she's a awesome person. Plus it's nice to have another mom friend. Can't find very many people our age that are good with kids." She frowned slightly at Juliette. "Well if you ever need a babysitter I'm here. I watch Oscar all the time for Monica. Plus she's a cutie" he said kissing her cheek.

"Thank you really, that truly means a lot. I have my father and Bella but you know how they are." She replied with a shrug. "So.. what does Miss Lexi like to do in her spare time?" He asked pretending to play drums with Juliette's hands. "I really don't know" Lexi said looking down and spinning the ice in her drink. "I used to play hockey in Phoenix, but I had to drop it because I got pregnant" she said smiling sadly. "It happens to the best of people." Paul winked at her. She laughed, "thanks" "hey, how about I take you ice skating on Friday? Just me and you. I bet Mon will watch Juliette." Paul said. Lexi weighed the offer in her head for a minute before saying "okay sure." Paul smiled like a mad man. "What time should I pick you up?" He asked. "How about four?" Lexi suggested. "Sounds good, ill see you then." He said giving her back her baby. He kissed her on the cheek before leaving. Lexi was flabbergasted. She had only met this boy today and was already thinking about what color they will paint their kitchen. She was excited but at the same time terrified having just got her heartbroken by Diego not to long ago.
