kids used to say she looks like a wrong answer, that someone tried to erase
but couldn't quite get the job done, and they'll never understand
that she's raising two kids, whose definition of beauty, begins with the word mom
because they see her heart, before they see skin
because she's only ever always been amazing

Those names constantly echoed in our ears from our pasts.
Susan and I could recognise when we could feel our souls going under during school.
Over time that feeling faded for myself.
Susan, on the other hand, it had gotten worse.
Susan is married and has two beautiful children.
Her family is the light of her eye.
Sometimes they are the only light in her eye.
Her definition of beauty has gotten mixed up with perfection and unachievable standards.
And she will never be able to truly understand that the children see her in a more superior light than any supermodel in the world.
She cannot begin to comprehend that she is what they achieve to become.
They want her compassion.
They want her love.
They want her kindness.
They want her beauty.
Their definition of success, beauty and happiness is mom.
There is no other word to describe beauty better than mom.
Their mom Susan is supermom.
Their mom Susan is the most beautiful person they know.
If only Susan was able to see that.
Susan will always and forever be beautiful and amazing.
