• Person A isn't one for a party scene or large crowds, so person B brings hot chocolate and snacks to their place so they can celebrate the new year's alone.
• Person A has been flirting with Person B for a while now, but Person B is oblivious to it. New Years is just around the corner and Person A is getting fed up. New Years comes and both Person A and B are at the party. The count down starts and everyone in the room is getting excited. As it's getting closer, Person A gets an idea. 5...4...3...2...1! HAPPY NEW YEARS! Person A reaches over and kisses Person B, leaving the latter stunned. Person A chuckles then whispers in their ear "Happy New Years love~" before walking away with a smirk.
• A New Year's kiss can only be shared between two people who are in love. Every year, your character has gone kiss-less. Until this year, your character finds their perfect match....accidentally. Your character falls down on top of them.
• Character A and B are throwing a party for New Year's but A gets a head cold at the last minute. Everyone is drinking champagne and playing games and goofing around, and even though A is having fun, they also feel pretty cruddy. B makes a drinking game out of every time A sneezes/coughs/whines about not feeling well/etc. Everyone is tipsy and giggly by midnight. (Also this is an excellent opportunity for other characters to kiss or share drinks and catch A's cold.) Alternatively, A and B are throwing a party but A is sick and B feels so awful about it that they convince a friend to host the party somewhere else. A is upset because they love staying up and watching the ball drop and seeing people in the neighborhood set off fireworks, so B sets up a nest on the couch for them and feeds them soup and cuddles with them until they eventually fall asleep. They wake A up just before midnight and A gets/gives lots of sleepy cuddles while they watch the ball drop.
• Character A loses their voice right before their New Year's party, so they spend the whole night walking around with a white board. Character B thinks it's adorable and flirts with them by finding another white board and writing cute things on it.
• Person A getting startled by the New Years fireworks--not being fond of loud noises. Person B pulls them in for a deep kiss, completely distracting them from the exploding lights filling up the night sky.
• Persom A complaining about how they've never had a New Year's kiss before so Person B surprises them with a kiss when the clock strikes midnight.
• Person A being super sleepy and falling asleep way before midnight so Person B waked them up at 11:59 so they can kiss at midnight before tucking them back in bed.
• Person C being upset that Person A and B are dating so they have a kiss at midnight and when A and B notice they decided to each give Person C a kiss on the cheek at midnight.
• Person A goes to get something from another room not realizing it's almost midnight and when they do realize the sprint and parkour across the house to kiss Person B on midnight.
