Chapter 24

Mid May 2014

In an exhausted manner, I dress into my pyjamas before sliding into my bed. I yawn loudly and stretch, I need sleep. I begin to knock off, however, what interrupts me is the vibrating that is sounding from my phone. With my eyes remaining closed I stick my hand out from under my duvet and feel around my bedside table to reach my phone. I don't bother checking who is calling, because who else calls at one in the morning. 

"Hello?"

"Hey babe." Harry's deep voice says.

"Hmm?"

"Are you tired? You sound tired. Should I call you later?" He sounds partially worried.

"No, I'm a little tired. Had a long day." I try to stifle a yawn, but it escapes.

"We haven't had a proper conversation yet and you're already bored." He laughs.

I breath heavily through my nose, he made me smile, "You're always boring."

He laughs quietly, "Babe, guess what?"

"You're coming home?" I guess with hope.

He pauses, "Yes."

I open my eyes, "Really?!"

"Yes! Really!"

"When?!" I ask excitedly and eagerly.

"Like," he pauses, "now."

"Oh my God. When are you going to be home?"

"In about an hour. I'm staying home for a few days then I'll come up to see you."

"How long are you here for?"

"Just under three weeks."

"Stay home for two weeks. I don't want you to miss out on being with your family as much as you can."

"I'll stay a week and a bit at home."

"I cannot wait to see you!"

"Me either!"

"I miss you so much, Harry."

"I miss you, too."

We listen to each other breathing for a few moments.

"Okay, well you need some sleep." Harry whispers.

"Yeah, I do." I laugh.

"How was your day?"

"Long and tiring. Yours?"

"Same. But I'm excited now, to get home then be able to see you. It's been too long since I last saw you, touched you, felt you."

"I know."

My birthday was during December, before Chris and me were done, I spent my eighteenth with my friends, it was nice. Then I spent a day with Chris,  Harry couldn't make it. Instead, he came in January time, he stayed for a few days, the perfume that I gave had also ran out, it was replaced with my current one, but after he took it, I got another.

"I love you, Alexis."

I feel a smile creep onto my face, "And I, love you."

"Okay, well you get some sleep, I'll ring you some time tomorrow."
