Chapter 1: The Unexpected Surprise

——-24 BBY, Coruscant, Jedi Temple, two years before the Clone Wars.
Young Evan was spending his free time with not much idea of what to do, all he could think of was studying the archives located in the Jedi library, with a little help from the librarian: Master Jocasta, he seemed to be perfectly set for another long night of boredom, from the time he rose to become a Padawan to this moment, it had been so, unless he and his Master, were off keeping the peace somewhere, today though would be different as his master found him asleep in the archives.
"I see you are keeping up with your knowledge, Evan, however it is a terrible habit of yours to overstudy, especially since it leads to you sleeping in the archives"
Evan, surprised to see his master next to him standing, stood up and quickly bowed before him, he was clearly caught off guard, and more so because his master never bothered to find him at all, always believing that he was just doing something somewhere in the temple.
This time though, was different, as it marked the day that Evan didn't assume that the most highest honorable day had comed to him.
"I wasn't expecting you to come and find me all of a sudden, Master Quincy, this is actually a bit of a surprise" Quincy couldn't help but laugh a little, Evan never knew that ever since it became a habit to sleep in the archives, there have been many watching him, the Jedi considered him to be very studious, too studious for his health, soon afterwards, Quincy asked Evan to follow him to the council chambers, it seemed greatly important, but to Evan, it didn't really make sense as to why would the Jedi Council would summon him and his Master, usually, if they were summoned, it was to keep the peace in the galaxy, but he sensed no danger, no nothing, and he could clearly tell that his master was hiding something.
"Master, you're clearly hiding something from me are you?"
"Why would I?, I would never lie or hide anything to you"
"Then why have we've been summoned without no information, don't you find that a bit weird at least?"
Having all ready made it to the chamber, the doors slid open and there was nothing but pitch-black inside.
"The Council wanted to see you, not us, the time has come Evan, go on" his master had told him, filled with joy
Evan walked into the chamber where the doors slid shut, not knowing what exactly would happen next as he saw lightsabers glowing up, one by one.
"Padawan, kneel" the Jedi Master had told him, and he kneeled, the lightsaber's tip became close to his left shoulder, then his right, and then the top of his head, as he realized what was going on as the Master had spoken
"By the right of the Council, by the will of the Force, Evan Valkirian, you may rise, hence forth you are no longer a Padawan, but a Knight of the Jedi Order, you are now a Peacekeeper of the galaxy , May the force be with you, always"
With the big surprise unveiled, all he could do was just smile
"A knighting ceremony, Master, I-"
"You earned it Evan, you held your ground, kept your head up and learned much of the Force on your own, there is little more I could hope to teach you"
"I-, I'm honored to stand beside you as a full-fledged Jedi Knight " at a loss for words, it was all that he could conjure up, the mere fact that he received knighthood alone just filled him with honor
"I won't fail you Master, I'll become the greatest Jedi in the galaxy and I'll defend the peace and serenity of the Republic, no, the entire galaxy!" Evan had thought to himself, but such a wish, would not me so easy to obtain, he held true to the greater good, even in the most darkest times of the Jedi Order, War forever changes man, and Evan, would be forever changed by the impending conflicts that would be marked in galactic history.
