I told my parents about the brunette and what happened at lunch. "See Lily I told you, you would make friends on the first day." I looked at her as if she didn't just hear me say that the girl told me to watch my attitude, which as far as I know isn't a friend invite. "No mom, she's definitely not my friend after today."
"So you telling me you didn't make any friends and that the only thing you did was probably make an enemy?", "No... I made a friend, the enemy thing just came as an extra."
Her eyes wide, "Really! Oh I'm so glad! What's her name? What's she like? Where does she live? How did you guys meet?" Cupcake, my cat, jumped on the couch and rubbed against me then rolled over wanting me to rub her tummy.
"Firstly his a boy and his name is Jae, secondly his shy; kind and cool as for where he lives, I'm not a stalker so that question didn't really pop up." My mom, now leaning in a bit, stares at me as if I'm not telling her something. "You still didn't answer the last question."
"Which was?" "Stop playing, how did you guys meet?" I explained my clumsy first impression, minus the whole him staring holes through me with his big brown eyes. My mom kept asking questions about Jae and the lunch time show down.
"Mom, I'm going to bed, it's late and I wouldn't want to be late for my second day of school tomorrow." With an awkward smile I walked to my room and went to bed.
