They say only time will tell
When broken hearts are mended. That you'll forget the love for whom you fell
Madly & deeply, on bended
Knee for,
The sweet melody from the sudden down pour,
Beneath which you kissed away the sorrow,
Of wondering if your next tomorrow,
You'll find the one, for which you borrow,
Something old & something new for
But he broke a promise which he swore,
He'd never do to someone he,
Was madly & deeply upon bended knee,
In front of, repeating 3 words,
Not a confession, but truth in two-thirds
And the rest kept securely beneath his breast
Guarded by his heaving chest,
Secrets he can't seem to lay to rest,
Amid the burdens of his past,
But he swore that this love of ours would last,
Even though his flag may only raise half mast.I pray he moves on to be,
A spirit lifted & set free,
A busy important ambitious Bee,
A man who will excel,
Even in the depths of Hell,
But only time will tell
Time
