Everything seemed to just pass by in a blur for Elisia. When it came to having to walk for thirty minutes in the twenty five degree Celsius and increasing heat she was appreciative for it. As she approached the gates she debated on whether she would scout out and join her friends for the ten minutes left until the bell rang.

Some days she was ecstatic and buzzing with excitement about joining her mates, however those days were becoming fewer. They manage fine without you. They probably only tolerate your presence. It's not like any of them actually look forward to your being there. You're too grouchy and will only bring them down as well. The air seemed to make way past her lips on its own accord. The decision was made in Elisia's mind.

Making her way to one of the seats placed around the school in which Elisia would sit alone, she merely gazed around and observed her surroundings. Elisia always seemed to be able to take note of how joyous and full of energy her pupils are. In the depths of her heart she too wished to be like that once more. This train of thought only proved to further dampen her sour mood. Elisia was once popular and exciting as well. Now that she had lost her bright energy she had also lost the spotlight.

It's not the attention that Elisia missed, but rather the connection she now no longer shared with many of her peers. I'm lonely. I deserve to be lonely. It's what I get for being selfish and taking things for granted. The urge to cry arose, but Elisia was simply too tired to exhaust her energy on such an activity. She seated herself as her eyes zoned out and she hoped no one would approach her. Too bothersome, she thought.

The seat consisted of a few spaced out wooden planks and was tucked away in a spacious corner. Placed against the home economics block that Elisia frequented, it directed her line of sight towards the two science blocks and a garden that was closer. It was a small garden sat in the middle of a forked walkway, yet Elisia had always been seduced by its beauty. It had a simple elegance about it and brought a sense of comfort over her, especially when the sky would gift her with a light shower during lunch. Watching the drops trickle down the leaves of the tree that towered taller than the buildings and branched out gently brought Elisia great comfort and contentment. The scene would remind her of a rain forest as the earthy smell filled her nose.

She consistently found herself wishing she were a fox or a wolf. In tune with and living amongst nature as she would zig zag freely through the dense forestry, wind passing through a grubby coat of fur. If only. That was a common thought for the red-head; If only. She always seemed to be wishing for something more, to be somewhere in which she wouldn't feel so restrained and drained of her former self.

Elisia could only assume that these desires were natural with the environment she resided in. After what seemed an eternity the bell rang out and echoed through the school, and Elisia only felt more sapped when noting that she would be living through a whole day of those eternities waiting for each dismissal to ring out. Only a couple more years, she thought with bitter sarcasm.
