Chapter 3: The Auction

Gryffin's POV

I finally woke up feeling sore at first, I couldn't see a thing. After my eyes adjusted to the darkness that surrounds me, I saw that I was in a cage of some sort and something was limiting my movements. I tilted my head and saw that my wrist and ankles were chained to the cage. I didn't even know why but I tried to squeeze my hand through the cuffs which were impossible. I then decided to make some noise to bring someone's attention. "Hey, where am I, Hey anyone there?" I screamed at the top of my lungs, stopping immediately because I may have damaged my vocal cords and my throat was sore. The cage was long enough for me to stretch my legs but they were too short for me to be able to stand up properly. I saw that my clothes had been changed into just a simple oversized tee that went down up to my thighs. Then I heard footsteps approaching me, maybe the screaming was worth it.

"Ah, the golden item, the grand finale has finally arrived. How are you feeling princess?" A young man with a black tux came in and asked me. I couldn't answer at first, what do you mean the golden item, the grand finale "What do you mean by the golden item and grand finale?" I managed to say, my voice straining due to the lack of water. "Now, now, you'll figure out about this soon, first drink up and tidy yourself, you'll come out soon," he said before handing me a bottle of water. I drank it as if I've haven't drank in days. "How long have I've been out?" I asked "A couple of hours, and you woke up just in time, if you didn't we would've electrocuted you." he said nonchalantly "What," I blurted out "Its how we work here honey," he said, exaggerating the last word. That's when I knew this place was psycho and I must find a way out. 

After I ditched all efforts in breaking out, I accepted the fate that I was actually gonna be sold at an auction I don't even know where I am right now. I started to get drowsy and slept a bit before waking up to the sound of metals clanking. 

"Princess, it's your turn" the young man came back. My cage and I was then pushed through a dimly lit hallway. Then I stopped before going through large velvet curtains "Sold to no. 43!" I could hear from the other side of the curtain. "Now gentlemen, the last item we have for today isn't any ordinary golden item, first ever in the history of our auction and really eye-catching." the same man said. Then my cage was being pushed through the curtains and into the theatre. It was an amazing view, it made me forgot that I am being sold off for a second. 

"Ah, yes, a woman, something interesting isn't it gentlemen" he host continued speaking and that when I saw that I was the only female in the entire theatre. "Now, now, she isn't your ordinary woman, she is handy in the kitchen and the house has the brains and is a feisty one I heard, she did the men some beating." I earned some chuckle. "Lastly, a virgin she is" the host announced. The entire theatre became silent I started being conscious and I started to hide my body. Fuck, I'm getting sold off to some horny man who may as well be in their fifties. 

"Alright, let's start the bidding." The amount increased fast and soon it reached $10 million. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. These men are really determined. Finally, then a guy shouted $100 Million and the entire placed became silent, no one could pay higher. "going once, going twice, sold to 52," the host announced. The entire theatre clapped their hands, maybe because of the amount he bought me with. Shit, I'm screwed. I was then pushed to the opposite side of the stage. 

As soon I went backstage, they opened my cage preparing to cuff my hands. Without hesitation I slammed my knees into the man's head and made a run for it, adrenaline pumping through my blood as I ran towards freedom but then was soon cut short.
