THIRTY ONE
"You sure your dad's not going to come home?" Sweet Pea questioned, closing the front door of the house, "I'm really not in the mood to jump out of your bedroom window."
Marina rolled her eyes, "I told you, he's in Albany for the weekend, visiting my grandma."
"Well, that's sweet." He chuckled, following the girl upstairs. "Why aren't you hanging out with your Northside friends?"
Marina opened the door, kicking off her boots, "They're all busy with the musical and Toni's with Cheryl most of time now. So, I called you."
"So, what?" Sweet Pea took off his jacket, hanging it up, "I'm your last resort."
Marina laughed, "Maybe." When he rolled his eyes, scoffing, Marina laughed even more. "I'm kidding, I just didn't wanna be alone and I like hanging out with you."
"So," Sweet Pea sat next to her on the bed, "what do you wanna do?"
Marina reached under the bed, the back of her top lifting slightly. The small skin of her back made Sweet Pea squirm, adjusting the front of his jeans. She pulled out a shoebox, lifting the top off. Inside was a small grinder, a makeshift bong and a good amount of weed.
"Wow," Sweet Pea's eyes widened, "I didn't know you-"
"What?" She questioned, feeling herself tense, "you don't want to? We don't have to, we can watch a movie or something, or go ou-"
"No, it's fine," he chuckled at her nervousness, "I want to. I'm just surprised that you smoke."
"Well, I'm not a pothead. I just brought some off of Fangs to keep me busy while my dads gone." Sweet Pea nodded, watching her pack the bowl of the bong and take a rip. He smiled slightly as he stared at her. Something about her doing things like this, things she wasn't supposed to do, intrigued him. Slightly, turning him on to her more.
Marina danced as the woman's voice radiated through her speakers around the bedroom.
That's the way I feel for you. If time stops still I'd take this moment make it last forever.
She felt amazing. Stress free and happy. She spun around the room. waving her hands in the air, feeling up and down her arms and body. Her head felt relieved and light like she was moving in slow motion.
Baby if you wanna leave, come to California, be a freak like me too. Screw your anonymity, loving me is all you need to feel like I do
We could slow dance to rock music, kiss while we do it, talk till we both turn blue.Sweet Pea laid on the bed, his back against the wall as he took another hit off of the bong. As he exhaled the smoke, he saw her dancing in the cloud of grey. She was beautiful, sensual. His eyes followed her movements, swayed back and forth with her.
He's smoked plently of times, had plently of highs, but none of them felt like this one. All of his times smoking felt rushed and forced. He only felt the need to smoke to avoid feelings or to try to forget things he didn't want to remember but this time he felt complete bliss with her.
Even though this music wasn't exactly his style, he didn't mind it. He nodded his head to the slow beat, tilting his head lifelessly. Marina opened her eyes, running a hand through her hair as the bridge came in.
You're cold as ice, baby. But when you're nice, baby, you're so amazing in every way.
She reached over the bed, grabbing Sweet Pea's hand, bringing him to the edge. He sat, looking up at her as she continued dancing. Both of her hands were in his, moving them back and forth, side to side as she swang them. He laughed when she leaned back, singing along with her hair falling. He pulled her closer, scared if she leaned back too much she'd fall. He moved her hair out of her face, taking his hand from hers to touch her waist. He pulled her on top of his lap, her body lazily obeying.
"You okay?" He smiled and she nodded.
"I'm amazing, how about you?" Sweet Pea laughed at how adorable she was. Her eyes weren't red but they were glossy. Her hair which had been straightened began to frizz and curl at the root from sweating. Her lips were full and swollen and slightly red. He wanted to kiss her. He wanted to do more than just kiss her but he knew he couldn't, not in the state they were both in.
As she leaned into him, slightly pressing her stomach to his, Sweet Pea felt the urge to adjust his jeans again. Marina pressed herself against his most vulnerable area, driving him crazy. She wrapped her arms around his neck as his hands remained on her waist.
She always wanted him, but her need was heightened in this moment.
She wanted him now.
Sweet Pea cleared his throat as a vibration erupted in his back pocket, "I think someone's calling me." He gently placed her on the bed, standing up to answer the phone.
He lowered down the music and clicked answer, "Dude, what?"
