Chapter 13: Treasure Hunt

*Azaan's p.o.v:

“Leave me alone Adrian”.

“Ouch. That hurts dude. You don't say that to a best friend, ever. Got it my boy?”

I am really tired right now but this guy Adrian won't let me take rest. He has been following me like a lost puppy who needs help but he doesn't need a home like the puppy. In his case, he needs help with something else like a treasure hunt.

Yes sir! Roger that!”I mock saluted him and I ran for my life. I am pretty sure if I hear those two words treasure hunt again, my ears will bleed and I might end up having a migraine which is a chronic neurological disorder by recurrent moderate to severe headaches often in association with a number of autonomic nervous system. Okay...that's enough. I think I am going insane but I can't help it. These are simply the side effects of having Adrian as a best friend for so many years.

I ran and ran until I reached Nick's cafe which was a few blocks away from school. I sat on the farthest booth inside and ordered delicious brownie and a nice hot cup of coffee. After feeling a bit relaxed, I dialed Inayat's number and asked him to come over with our group and warned him not to bring Adrian and Kai along with them because I am sure Kai is with Adrian.

After five minutes, they all entered the cafe. I waved my hand and they joined me.

“Assalamulaikum” I greeted them.

“Walaikum assalam” They replied in unison.

“What's the matter Azaan?” Inayat asked.

“Adrian.” I said.

“What about him?” Did he take his craziness to a new level?” Karen asked in a bored tone. Right, we were used to Adrian's craziness.

“Yes and this time his demand is absurd. He's asking me to join him in his treasure hunt. He believes that there's a treasure hidden in his house. I told him it might be some prank and refused to join him in his crazy venture”

“Treasure hunt?” Aara asked her face lightening up with a sweet smile. She seems excited for some reason. Focus Azaan. You need to focus on the matter, not her.
