Heart Of A Prankster
Chapter 14: Coming soon...
*Aara's p.o.v:
Everyone is enjoying so much at the wedding. Little kids running around. Ladies talking about almost everything. Boys busy with their gadgets. Young girls teasing the bride. Men discussing about business. Everyone is having a bright smile on their faces and seeing them.
“Aara dear, can you get my son Zaid to eat his supper please? He's been running around playing hide and seek in the garden.” Aaliya aunty said. She's my mom's
cousin and she is really sweet.
“Okay aunty. I will go right now. Don't worry about it.” I said.
“Jazzak Allahu Khair dear.”
“Wa iyyakum.”
I went to the garden in search of Zaid but no one was there. Now where must be that cute little kid hiding?
“Zaid? You there?” No answer.
“The game is over Zaid. You can come out now.” Still no answer. Looks like I will have to search for him. I went further inside the garden. It was dark. The only source of light available was the moonlight. These kids are so brave but why do they have to hide in such places. I heard some rustling of the leaves around the bushes. I headed there and bent down.
“Zaid?” Why is this kid not answering? “Zaid-” I don't know what came over me but I could feel someone's eyes on me and so I turned around slowly. I could only see black sneakers. I couldn't see the face of that person, only the silhouette. It's a tall boy.
“Who are you?” Fear slowly crept into my body.
“I am your love, my lovely prankster.”
“I-I...” I couldn't say anything. It's like my brain stopped functioning. Allah please help me. Where are my family and friends?
“Why do you look so scared? I am not going to hurt you.” Now let me see your beautiful smile before I leave.”
“Who are you?” I managed to ask him again.
“You don't know me but I know you.
You don't see me but I see you.
You don't love me but I love you.
You aren’t mine yet but I will make you.” He moved in the darkness as he was saying and now he is standing right behind me. I am so scared to turn and look, afraid that I might not like what I will see. I could feel his breath on my neck.
He gently caressed my cheek and I flinched at his touch. He chuckled at my reaction. Then he stepped further into the darkness which engulfed him and he disappeared.
.
My alarm rang and it startled me awake. That dream was strange. Very strange. I went and stood near my window. Everything was serene. The empty streets. The gentle breeze. But there was fear lurking in my heart. It felt like it was the calm before the storm. I shook this bizarre feeling off when I realized it was time for fajar salah. I took shower, did ablution and prayed. I felt relaxed immediately. After praying, I started to clean my room as I plenty of time left before going to school.
*Unknown's p.o.v:
“Is everything alright there?” My princess looks a little tensed. She bit her bottom lip gazing at the blue sky. She looks beautiful even when she seems tensed. Who am I kidding? My love looks beautiful all the time.
“Yes sir. Everything is normal. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.”
I nodded. Seems like, she had a nightmare. But she won't have it for long. She will have sweet dreams starting from tonight. I will make sure of it.
“Is everything ready?” I asked still not taking my eyes off of her.
“Yes sir. Just like you had ordered. You are good to go.”
“Thanks David.” I dismissed him with a wave of my hand.
Finally the day has come. I'll meet my princess.
“My lovely prankster I am coming soon to steal your heart.”
