Lorry's Story

Chapter 15

*3 days later*

"Ugh, exams are exhausting!" Neem whined.

They were sitting at one of the tables in the cafeteria and waiting for the others to arrive.

"Ha, piece of cake." Lorry winked.

Neem rolled her eyes. "Thank goodness the finals are over. Now we can hang out whenever we want! yay!"

Dan and Oliver came, with their hands intertwined with each other.

Neem noticed it and nudged Lorry to look at them. "Ooooohhhhh.."

"This isn't very surprising at all. I knew those two would end up being together." Lorry stated.

"Hey guys! I have an announcement! " Dan said cheerfully.

"What?" Neem asked.

"I'll tell you guys later when everybody's here." A goofy grin is plastered on her face.

"Eh, okay."

They waited for another twenty minutes and finally, all of them are sitting on the table that Neem and Lorry reserved.

"So what's your announcement?" Ron asked. He's sitting beside Vanessa.

"Well..." Dan trailed. " Me and Oliver are together now." She said happily.

The whole group became silent for a moment.

"What?" Dan asked. "Aren't you guys surprised?"

"Wow, that is very surprising. I almost choked at my food here." A hint of sarcasm is in Ericah's voice.

Dan rolled her eyes. "Oh C'mon guys!"

"Right from the start, we knew you two would be together. So that isn't surprising at all." Lorry said.

"Well, aren't you happy atleast?" Dan frowned.

"We're happy. Right guys? We're happy right?" Kristyle said.

"Yeah...." Everyone answered.

"See? We're happy for you two." Kristyle said.

Dan rolled hey eyes again and sat beside Ericah with Oliver.

"Soo... how are the exams?" Ericah questioned.

"Ugh! exhausting!" Neem said and everyone grunted.

"Hell days!" Ron said.

Everyone agreed except Lorry. "Piece of cake." She winked.

"Wow, do you always have to repeat that? You've been doing that a lot" Neem rolled her eyes, remembering the same gesture she did a while ago.

"It's because you guys are always complaining about our exams! It's just as easy as breaking a toothpick!" She explained.

"Because you're smart!" Dan said to Lorry.

"Is it my fault?" Lorry smirked.

"Yeah, yeah, talk to the wall miss smarty pants!" Kristyle rolled her eyes.

Why is there so many eye-rolling activity these days?

They finished their lunch and went to their own respective classes.

While Lorry is walking on her way to her next building, she heard a voice that was calling her name.

"Lorry!"

She stopped on her tracks to listen where the voice is coming.

"Lorry!"

It was from the back. She looked over her shoulder and surprised at who she saw.

"Lorry! I was calling you but you can't hear me." He is now panting.

She studied his features to check if he was real.

He stopped panting and finally caught his breath. "Hi Lorry" He gave her his warm smile that she surely missed seeing.

"Joshua?"
