"Joshua?" He's quite familiar. Hmmm....
"Yeah. Remember?" He said.
She narrowed her eyes. Joshua?.... hmmmm joshua. joshua. joshua.
Then she remembered!
"JOSHUAAAAA!!!!!" My childhood friend!
He chuckled."Hey."
Lorry enveloped him into a tight hug. "Oopff!"
"I'm sorry. I just really missed you! And Oh my! You've changed a lot! You're a lot taller than last time, and you changed your hairstyle! And your face looked so matured!" Lorry rambled.
"yeah, thanks? You too! Wow, look at you! Still the same." He joked and I playfully smacked his arm which caused me to notice his biceps. Omygosh. He has a huge muscle. Not like before, he's very very thin and he was used to be getting beaten by the other guys.
"So.. what are you doing here?" I asked.
"Guess what."
"Are you visiting your super hot and sexy and amazing childhood bestfriend? huh? huh?" I nudged him with my elbow. Then we both laughed.
"No."
"Are you going to visit someone else that studies here?"
"No."
"Are you going to another place but decided to stop by to see me because our school is on your way?"
"Nope."
"Are you going to visit a relative which is working here in school?"
"Still a no."
"Are you going to-" He cut me off.
"Alright this is boring. I'm here because I'm going to study here." He said.
"Omg really??!!" I grinned.
"Yes"
"But what happened? Why did you decide on transferring here?"
"Nah, long story"
"So where do you live? Are you going to use a dorm?"
"No." He said. "Are you a detective? You have so many questions! C'mon, let's eat! My treat." He put his arms on my shoulder.
"But I just ate my lunch. And I'm heading to my next class and I'm already thirty minutes late. sooo,"
"Skip your next class! You're late anyway! So, let's go?"
"Eh... okay" I agreed. Besides I really missed him. It's been like forever since I saw him. How could I reject his offer to be with him and eat? And take note: It's his treat!
"So when are your classes gonna start?" I asked.
"Monday next week. I just submitted my resume on the councilor."
"Ahh.. I see. Good to know. Well, welcome to our school."
He chuckled. "How many classes are you going to attend after this?"
"Two. Why?"
"I'm gonna wait till your classes are dismissed."
"Really? Why?"
"Because I want to drive you home."
Seriously, why did they want to drive me home? First, Charles. Now, Joshua.
Charles..
"I'm fine, our house is near enough. I cam walk." I smiled at him.
"You walk from here to your house?!" He asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, I swear it's very near."
"Eh, okay."
"Oh, it's my time for the next class. Are you sure you're really going to wait for me?"
"Yeah, Besides I'm going to a tour around our school. " He gave me a thumbs up.
"Okay. " I stood up and picked my books from the red table.
****
"Okay, class dimissed. See you tomorrow class."
I picked up my shoulder and headed to my locker to put some of the books I didn't need to bring home.
And as I was expecting, there he is. Joshua. Sitting under the tree reading something.
I ran towards him. "Oh, hey! Are you ready?"
Ready? Ready for what?
"Ready for what?" I asked him.
"Ready to go home."
"I told you. You, don't need to drop me by. I can handle myself."
"No, I insist. C'mon! No but's! No if's!"
He literally dragged me to his blue sports car.
"Wait, I'll just go get something from my house and then I'll take you home."
"What? What are you going to do after dropping me?"
"Nah, nothing. Just chill."
He brought his engine into life and he started driving.
Wait, why is he going on the same direction to my house? "I thought we were going to get something from your house first?" I asked.
"Yeah. Why?"
Then it clicked.
"Where is your house?" I asked again.
"Right here." He stopped the car and I didn't notice that we're already here.
He stopped the car infront of their house! Which is the house infront of our house!
"You are the one who moved here?!" I asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh... I think you didn't have to bring me to our house."
"Huh?" He's confused, I could tell. "Let me get, something inside first. If you wanna go inside then go. My mom knows you anyway. She'll be surprised."
When we reached inside, there is no one home. Maybe they went to the market or something. Joshua got what he wanted and we walked straightly outside.
"Hop in." He said.
"Oh, I don't have to." I smiled.
"What?"
I walked to the other side of the road infront of their house.
"This is our house." I pulled my arms up in the air to represent my house.
"You live there?!" He was surprised.
"Yep. Let's go inside!" I told him.
I pushed open the door and there we saw my aunt and his mom, talking in the couch.
They were surprised to see us, just as we're surprised to see them.
"Oh, I guess you two already met in school." His mom said.
I hugged her tightly. She used to treat me like her own child too. Since her daughter died already when she was a baby. So I guess she treats me like I'm her own daughter. But it's okay with me. I understand. And let's not talk about that.
"Lorry! How are you!" She hugged back.
"I'm fine, how about you? OMG I missed the both of you." We continued hugging each other as Joshua and my Aunt greeted each other too.
"Well, I have to go now. I need to cook for our dinner tonight. Goodbye Tess and Lorry!" She motioned for me and my aunt and then we waved back and she left.
And as usual, I went straight to my room upstairs and change my clothes.
