Every year people say the same thing " new year, new me." But it's not true, they're the same person.
I'm sitting on my couch with my cat watching the countdown. Another hour to go before 2019, I'm not that excited; I mean, it's the same thing every year. As I sit on Instagram, I see all the fake people posting pictures, and I see other people leaving horrible comments on other people's pictures. I've always tried to do something to knock the bullies down a few pegs, but of course, it never lasts long. For the past couple of months, I've been working on some ideas to - not stop the bullying, cause it'll never stop - but to at least try to make people at least stop and think.
Thirty more minutes and I'll put my plan into motion. When I say it like that it sounds like I'm a supervillain, which I'm not. I look out of the window and out over Kansas City, all the lights, the people, it can be a sight to see. Can be, is the keyword there though. I turn around as I start to hear the countdown, I open my laptop and prepare everything.

The ball drops, fireworks are going off outside my apartment, and I hear people yelling, "happy new year." And I hit enter on my keyboard. As I do so everything goes black. Then my video pops up on the tv screen, every tv screen. On the screen on people who have been through different things in life, whether it be school bullies, internet bullies, racism, abuse, and many other things. All of them share their stories. And talking with the people who have hurt them. There are also the friends and family of the people who can't speak for themselves.
I know something like this has probably been done before. But no one has ever hacked into every tv, computer, and phone in the country. I know this might not do much, but I do hope that it spreads a little love for everyone. Because that's what we need this new year, more love.
Happy New Year.
