Ash x Reader: Letters

I tapped the end of my pen on my desk thinking about what I should write. I stared at the blank paper in front of me . I'm writing to my girlfriend of 2 years Ashley Campbell who recently moved away to go to art school.

Every month we would write a letter to each other , and.. for every letter Ashley wrote me, they would get shorter and shorter. I understood that she was very busy with art school and all , but wouldn't she give a little bit if her time for me? Just a bit?

Anyway for me , I stayed in Nockfell , but I have my own house now instead of living in the apartment's. And I visit my friends often , though no matter how hectic life would get I would always save time to write Ashley a letter.

I opened my top desk drawer and pulled out the letters from Ashley, reading them out loud to myself.

" Dear (Y/N ), words cannot express how much I miss you, even though I have only been away for a few weeks it feels so strange without you. I miss the quiet , it's so loud in the city. Anyhow , how have you been ? Good I hope , I miss my happiness~ Art school is very stressful so far , it's just assignment after assignment, but I chose this. Sadly I wont be able to write you as meny letter's as I would like too. Say hello to the other for me!
love you so much! - Ashley <3"

As I read the letter a small smile formed on my face. I gently placed that letter on the table as I began to read the second letter she wrote to me .

"( Y/N ) , Thank you for the lovely letter you wrote to me, and thanks for your understanding. I have lots and lots of projects to work on .
Love - Ashley"

I looked at the small pile of letters as it trickled down. They just got shorter and shorter from then on.

" The work keeps on piling and piling . I'm sorry that my letters to you are short. I just don't have time. -Ash

After that letter I was afraid that she didn't care about me as much as she use too. I was afraid that she didn't need me or want me anymore. I looked at the last two letters she wrote me last year.

" I feel completely exhausted from school. The work just never ends! "

I frowned as I placed that letter with the rest of the others as I looked at the last letter. The only thing it said was...

" I honestly don't know how much more I can take..."

I honestly felt like she forgot to who she was writing to. I didn't feel any love in the letters , I didn't feel any compassion, I didn't feel anything.

I put the letters back in order and placed them back into the drawers. My mind still feeling blank as I tried to think what I should write to her about, hell should I even write to her? She sure as hell didn't write me any letter's other than those five . If you could even call them letters.

I couldn't take it anymore, I had to tell her how I felt , Eve if she would not read them , I just have too!

" My dearest Ashley, I miss you and I wish you would write me more letters . I feel that we have grown apart, I have written you so many letters but you never write me back anymore. I completely understand that you are so busy and I feel horrible for you, but I feel that the love in your last letters is gone. I miss you , I haven't seen you in a while. I hope you still think about me. I just want you to know that I love you so much! I hope that art school is going a bit better , and if you need a break from the city you can come and live in my house with me. I love you to the moon and back! - ( Y/N ). "

I got out a envelope and gently folded the letter and placed it inside .

As I was going to go outside and place this into my mailbox I heard a ring from my door bell,
" Who could that be? " I asked myself as I made my way towards the door. I opened the door a creek and I couldn't believe what I saw ...

It was Ashley, standing there with two suitcases as she gave me a weak smile.

" Hi (Y/n) " she said as she just stood there. I couldn't believe what I was seeing , I was so happy I ran and hugged her kissing her cheek. Staying in her warm embrace.

Ashley was back...

Hi everyone! I hope you liked this chapter! I had the idea for it a while ago but I didn't write it till now, ( I also got the idea from the song Burn from the Hamilton track . I know it is not the same but I got the idea if letters from that song) hope it was ok. If any of you were confused I'll explain it: your character and Ashley had been dating for a while , when Ashley moved away they would send each other letters . Ashley was getting bombarded with work and could not really write to her/ she forgot to. The reader feels upset about this and feels like they are loosing Ash .

I hope it was ok , it was a bit rushed as I have to go to a party later today and I need to get ready for it.
