I rested myself on a rock as I watched the humans on the beach, I always enjoyed watching the humans , from young to old they always found ways to enjoy the beach wether it was swimming, tanning or making some sort of Castle out of sand from the shore of the beach. I smiled as I watched them all have a good time, just relaxing without a care in the world...
My mother told me not to go on land or to have any contact with humans. She thinks that if one were to spot me they would call a agency and test experiments on us, but I always thought she was just being overprotective.
No humans never really stood out to me until my eyes laid on this ( Boy/ Girl). I got this feeling in my stomach, I felt so sick , yet happy ,'what is this feeling?' I thought to myself. Most humans never do this to me, but ( Him/ Her)... I have never seen a human quite like them.
I wanted to talk to them very badly but if they ever found out I was a mermaid, I don't know what they would do , would the keep it a secret, or would they preform experiments on me like mother said. I couldn't know for sure. I think I'll just wait untill they are alone , then I will talk to them.

It was the perfect day to go to the beach! The sun is shining, there are no clouds , no chances of rain! I called up my friends and asked if they wanted to go with me , of course they all said yes, I mean , why would miss a opportunity to miss this?
We all got in the car and made our way to the beach all of us singing to songs on the radio to pump us up more. Hell they even played great songs today! Score!!
I began to sweat a bit so I rolled down my window so I could feel the breeze , it felt really nice because let me tell you, sitting in a packed car in 90° heat , it can get pretty hot! Even with the AC on full blast. I felt the wind blowing through my hair as we made our way to the beach. A sigh of relief when the cool air hits my skin. Day dreaming about swimming and possibly tanning ! (Depending on who your character is lmao)
My friend was looking at a book about mermaids and joked about hoping to see one. They were a firm believer of mermaids while me on the other hand I always just thought they were made up for movies and stories, they aren't real, right?
After a bit if back and forth discussion about mermaids we had finaly got to the beach. I rolled up my window and quickly opened my door and jumped out of the car feeling excited and free!
My friends and I found a spot to put our umbrellas and towels down, then taking of my cloths over my swim suit , I put them in my bag as we put on a bit of sun screen so I wouldn't get sun burn or worse melanoma. ( melanoma, more like
mela-no-ma'am)( if you get that reference you are awesome! Anyways back to the story!)
Now that the sun screen was taken care of I ran to the water and began to swim around. I swam for a bit if time , but then u noticed somebody, just laying on a rock. I was a bit confused but they did bit seem in distress so I didn't try to ask if they were hurt or anything . Mabye they were just shy .
