Mermaid reader x SF character! pt 2

I didn't know what to do! Do I say hello , do I swim by them, do I just swim away?! I was clueless, absolutely clueless!
While I was so wrapped up in my thoughts they were right next to me!

" Um.... Hello? Are you ok there , you have been stairing at the shore for quite a while now. Do you need help getting back to the shore? Can you swim?" ( S/F/C ) asked me as I stared at them dumbfounded.

I tried to speak but all that came out was a quiet peep , I mean what was I supposed to say? " Oh yeah hi stranger I have never met , I'm a mermaid and yes I can swim! " No I can't say that, they would think in crazy !

They smiled softly and started speaking  " My name is ( S/F/C) , what's your name ?" So that's their name... What a lovely name .

I finally got the courage to speak " My name is ( Y/N) and yes I'm ok, I'm just enjoying the beach. It's so beautiful...." You said with a soft smile as you gazed back to the shore. Looking at the sunset, it was a beautiful mix of yellow, orange , pink , and purple. It was so mesmerizing.

I was so busy looking of into the sunset that when ( S/ F /C) spoke it caught me off guard. " It's so pretty, all of the color's mixed together like that, it's to bad it is only for a short period of time." They were so deep , I have never really spoken to a human, I only watches them . They seem so nice and friendly.

When I get really happy my tail kinda moves on its own, kinda like a dog, but different. I must of hut their leg on accident because they look down and their eyes widened. Oh no.....

They had a look of shock on their face when the saw my tail. They mumbled something I could not hear and I began to freak out.

"I- I'm sorry, I know this must be ver- y wierd for you to see, b-but please don't say anything to anyone! I'm afraid that if people fond out they would use me for experiment's!" I said in a rush, tripping on my words. I was shaking , what are they gonna do now that they know what i really am. My heart was racing as they opened their mouth...

(S/F/C P.O.V)

Holy crap! So mermaid's are real! I always thought that they were just in fairytale's but nope, they are real.... God my life is so wierd.

The poor thing, they look so scared, I would never tell anybody. They really must have never talked to a human before. I placed my hand gently on their shoulder and smiled .
" Do be scared it's ok , I won't say a word to anyone, your secret it safe with me."

They took a sigh of relief and had a tired smile on their face. " Oh thank you.... I have never talked to a human before and I never knew if they were kind or rude or anything like that. My family is afraid of humans, they think they are evil and are nothing but trouble. But you seem very kind."  "Though I don't believe I could tell them I  talked to a human. My mother would not like us being friends... T-that's if you would like to be friends with me , if not that is ok . " They said waving their hands .

I couldn't help but laugh at how shy they were,  " of course we can be friends! " I cheered , hugging them lightly . We talked for a while until I heard my friends hollering my name, I had completely forgotten about them.

(Y/N) gave me a sad smile and said , " you should probably get going it's late and I should return to my home, it was wonderful talking to you. Mabye if you come back we can chat more" .

I quickly nodded my head " Definitely I'll be back soon!" I said hugging them one last time as I felt their soft lips on my cheek.( If its sal they would unbuckled  the bottom strap of his prostetic and lift it.)

I felt my checks heat up as they giggled gently and swam away. I had a smirk on my face as I swam towards my friends and walked to the car. "Oooooh~ so who were you talking to ( S/F/C)~"  my friend teased me as they put there elbow on my shoulder. " Oh shut up dude!" I chuckled softly as we drove away. Looking at the beach until it was out of sight.

What a perfect day ...
