Goodbyes and hellos

—yang POV—
"You all packed up and ready to go?" My dad asked
"Yeah just need to grab my phone" I replied
Today I'm going off to university. I'm most excited about living properties. I've always wanted to share a dorm with someone but someone I knew like my younger sister! Ruby. But she's 2 (nearly 3) years younger than me. Meeting someone new can either go extremely well or extremely bad and if it goes really bad it's not going to be good living with this girl for the whole rest of- well uni. Once you get roommates you can't change so I better make a good first impression. I wonder what sort of things that she's into.
"Yaaaaaaanggg!!!!"a high pitch voice yelled from the hallway
"Hey rUUGHH-" I was interrupted by a tight squeeze around my waist I could hardly breathe
"YANGIMGOINGTOMISSYOUSOMUCHYOUBETTERCALLMANDDADEVERYWEEKENDANDDONTGETYOURSELFKILLEDOK!??!!?!!!????!"

"Woah rubes calm down I'm going to be ok. You and dad will be ok," ruby releases her grip and I nudge her slightly off me "it might take some time to get used to me not being around n all but you'll cope so will dad! And ruby... I know how to defend myself I think I'll be alright!"
Ruby looks up at me with a spark in her eyes
"Yeah! We'll be alright! We don't need YOU here!"
"Um ruby I didn't mean it in that way"

"Uh oh well whatever. Yang I'll miss you either way and I hope it goes well with your new roommate"
Ruby smiles cutely up at me and I smile back
"Yeah il miss you too ruby"
"YANG WE GOTTA GO" dad yells from a distance
"Anyway...I'll text you when I'm there and I'll be back before you know it!"
"BYE yang I love you!"
"Love you too ruby"
"OH yang! Don't forget to CALL ME!"she yelled out after me
"Hah yeah don't worry I won't" I answer
I hop inside the front seat of my dads car and put my seatbelt on.
"You ready squirt?"
"Yep I'm ready to go to collage dad!"

—BLAKE POV—
It's almost time. I'm not very good with introductions... I can't keep still I'm so nervous but there's no real reason for me to be. Just my anxiety I say to myself. I just gotta sit down on my bed and do homework or watch YouTube or whatever... I bust out da laptop and start watching some YouTube. Just ya know vids like........watching people fall over... 
I hear the sound of a key being jammed into the door. Crap. That must be yang. She timidly opens the door letting herself in. I could feel the nervous swear creeping up on me.
She greeted me with a warm smile
"Hi! Your Blake right? Well Blake it's nice to finally meet you and I'm yang...you probably know that..."
"Oh uh hi yang....it's nice to meet you to..I guess"
She unpacks her belongings in appropriate places.
"So uh...what are you doing?"
Her sudden interactions caught me off guard.
"I'm just watching YouTube."
"Oh? What are you watching?"
"I'm watching people ( I can't say what I'm actually watching that makes me sound like a jerk) uh.. vines?"
"I thought vine was dead..."
"It is but I still like them"
I hate small talk it just makes extreme awkward tension. so I decided just to kinda keep the convo going.
"So yang...uh" thinking of what to talk about "where are you from?"
"Oh I live in a village just outside the kingdom......." back to awkward silence "hey Blake.. your actually a lot more pretty than I thought you would be"
"Eh?" I was NOT expecting that
"Sorry! I'm not the best at this kinda stuff..hah"
"Something we have in common... anyway it's getting late maybe we should sleep"
"Yeah goodnight"
She seemed...nice.
I didn't really dream much last night.
I just remember something about people fish.......I don't know I have odd dreams 😫
