How You Met the Paladins

~ Im new to this so if it's not great then I apologise, will contain spoilers for seasons ~

Shiro:
While Shiro was going around schools looking for potential future pilots for the Garrison he met you, a quirky and outgoing individual. You were only a few years younger than him, he saw the passion inside of you for piloting and placed you in the Garrison with other classmates (not Lance, Keith, Hunk or Pidge though because you were several years older). Overtime your bond grew stronger than friendship - he would coach you and give you tips for being the best pilot possible. You never officially dated but as soon as the Kerberos mission was lost you knew that you had to find Shiro. That was the moment of realisation for you that you loved him, more than a friend. You planned for weeks how to get him back, eventually you stole a ship from the Garrison (with the help of an up and coming tech genius named Pidge) and spent the next two years hunting for Shiro. You spent a great deal of time hopping for planet to planet, learning different cultures. You arrived at Alkarian, home of the Alkari. As luck would have it you were hoping to get your hands on some tech to upgrade you ship the same time as Voltron was defending the planet from the Galra. Through the crowds of cheering Alkari, celebrating Voltron's victory. You saw a familiar broad, black-haired pilot with a white streak. Your eyes met across the celebrations and since being reunited with the love of your life you have never left Shiro's side.

Keith:
You are a Tegarion, from the planet of Tegari, your people have a unique psychic ability to go into other's minds. Zarkon knew of this and in an attempt to capture the Tegarions to help him locate Voltron: he took the quintessence and wiped Tegari's population. The Tegarions are fighters, driven people who refuse to give up, most died in battle sacrificing themselves for the possible survival of others. A handful of your people, including yourself, were kidnapped. Each day they took one Tegarion to torture them and force them to help Zarkon. As they were being hurt you could feel their pain because of the psychic link between all Tegarions, their screams shattered your mind and made life unbearable. A Tegarion was yet to come back from the torture alive. They knew the universe would pay dearly if they gave in, their persistence and endurance truly made the Tegarions heroes of war.
You're the last person left in the cell, they took Reyna yesterday. You're perparing yourself for the pain. None of your fellow Tegarions had given in to the Galra and you would not be the one to let them down. Just as the Sentry opened the cell door to escort you to the torture chambers a sword impales the mindless robot and he drops like a fly, to reveal a raven-haired armoured solider. He grabs your wrist and pulls you through many twisting hallways, covering you with his body. He takes out sentries like it's the easiest thing in the world, slicing through the masses of robots blocking the corridor. "Keith!" Someone yells, a boy in the same armour only blue, with chocolate brown hair. You figure that Keith must be your saviour's name. Although his sword skills were impressive they couldn't hold back the overwhelming guards. He needs help. You look down at your right hand, connecting to your weapon, that appears when you are in need. Each Tegarion has one to protect themselves and each take a distinct shape. Yours was a WOC , quick, fast, agile. The F/C weapon morphed into you hand and you sprinted to Keith, fighting back to back in perfect synchronisation, like you had been training together for years. Together you held the sentries off and protects one another. But it still wasn't enough. In the heat of the battle Keith turned to you.
"Do you trust me?" 
You look at him in shock, you are in the middle of a life or death situation, no isn't really the time.
"DO YOU TRUST ME?" he repeated.
"Yes!" You scream back at him.
"Take a deep breath and hold onto me, don't let go"
You did as he commanded, he slashed a hole in the side of the Galra cruiser. He starts his jet pack and you shoot off into space towards what looks like a giant red cat.
After a wormhole getaway, you start talking to Keith
"Thank you, for saving my life" you say as you gently press a kiss to his cheek (this is how we thank people on Tegarion) a blush washed over his face, as he smiled.
With no home planet to go to and after proving yourself as a useful asset in the Galra battle you stay with Voltron in the Castle of Lions for many years and your bond with Keith only grows as you become closer.
