Until one little girl refused to give up. She would not accept her fate as everyone else did. This girl's name was Audrey Woods. Audrey loved to learn about strong, powerful women. She idolized Maya. Maya St. John never failed to inspire Audrey. Audrey was not yet born when Maya had given up. Audrey loved Maya after Harrie had passed and the government held their stubbornness. She used to watch old video clips of Maya's speeches on the internet.

Audrey would often recite her favorite quotes from Maya's speeches when she couldn't sleep at night, "'What has come of us? Man harming man. We are all human. We are all suffering, one way or another. Mentally, financially, etcetera. We all suffer. Instead of turning to violence in the hardest of times we must come together, all of us.'"

Another of Audrey's favorites was, "'People are dying at no fault of their own. It is the government that is indirectly harming them, and they don't even show remorse. They speak about their apologies, but when do they ever say anything about it being their own fault. They don't. The government is slowly, but surely, indirectly murdering thousands of people as they turn off their hearing aids and ignore everything we have to say.'"

When Audrey was fifteen her little sister, Anna, was killed in a school shooting.
