new years resolution

will i always be at this standstill?
stuck between what i want my life to be like and what it is
i came into 2019 with a fading smile on my face that should have come from bliss at the prospect of starting anew, in reality it was a reflection of the dazzling smiles around me,
i hope that this year will be the year i get my feet out of the cement i trod myself into last year and take a step toward the girl with the blissful smile
