Chapter Five
It was only a few days later that then Graham realized he had to let Reegan go. Mitch and Reegan were going to get married for Mathew's sake, and for theirs. Although, yes, they would have to wait about two to three years before they could actually get wed.
Graham wasn't handling this well; sulking in the guest bedroom was his favorite past-time now. Reegan had tried to coax him out many times before, but he wasn't going to appear to us any time soon.
Mitch had decided to have Reegan move in with him permanently, and they started packing her things last night. It hurt to let my daughter go out into the world with one of my best friends. I wish it was different to the extent of having her stay, but I knew this would've had to happen eventually.
Reegan kept telling me to find someone to share my life with again and let go of her dad, but it was hard. Mat didn't want that...
Did he?
Saturday rolled around and everyone had already left except Tyler, Chris, Reegan, Mitch, and Mathew. I sat in my room most of the day on my laptop because that's what 27 year old men are supposed to do.
Not really. I should get a job or something.
Tyler payed the morgage for the house every month, and Chris worked as a nanny for the next door neighbors.
"Jerome?" Chris called from the bottom of the steps. I shut my laptop closed before walking over to the top of the stairs.
"What?" I asked. Chris looked up at me with a small smile.
"There's a girl here to see you." She turns to walk back into the living room. I raise an eyebrow before descending the stairs to the living room. There was a girl, her blonde hair braided and pushed to the side.
"How can I help you?" I ask, reaching out to shake her hand. She smiles warmly at me before taking my hand to shake it.
"I'm Maggie. Maggie SinClare. You were Mat Nooch's husband, am I correct?" she asks, dropping my hand. I nod hesitantly.
"I was," I reply. She nods. I gesture for her to come inside and lead her to the couch.
"Do you know what happened to Mat?" She takes out a notepad and pen and starts to jot down something on the paper. I cock my eyebrow at this, wondering what she was doing.
"Excuse me?" I ask. She stops writing and looks up at me.
"What?" I roll my eyes.
"You come to my house, asking about my late husband, and want to write it down on paper? Why is this, Maggie?" I ask her, crossing my arms across my chest. She sighs and sets down her pad and paper.
"I'm from Mat's wiki page. The guys from the page asked if I could get more information since I live kind of close to you. So I decided to give it a shot, knowing this probably wouldn't go well, and as expected it didn't so..." She got up from the couch, but I did something that surprised me even.
I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
"No. You can't leave yet," I whisper. She looked at me with a look of surprise before sitting down next to me again.
"Why don't you want me to go?" She looks at me and her eyes fix to my mouth. Mine do the same, gazing at her lips before frantically pulling her in and kissing her hungerily. She kisses me with the same exact passion. I pick her up and we run up the stairs to my bedroom.
Frantic kisses and taking each others clothes off quickly. It was through pure hunger, and I missed the passion of sex.
Kissing her neck and down her body and taking off her under garments. She rips mine off and I positioned myself before thrusting into her. She starts moaning and I was sure Tyler and Chris would be surprised to see I was having sex with a woman. This hasn't happened in five years, but it felt so...
Good.
Releasing inside of her, I fell on top of her as she ran her fingers through my hair softly.
But then it hit me.
"Wait," I look up at her and she looks down at me. Her eyes widened.
"Oh my God," she whispers.
I just had sex with a stranger.
