Chapter 6

Maggie stared at me as she pulled up the straps of her undershirt. We both realized that this was a mistake. Kissing her was a mistake on my part, Maggie let it go further than that kiss was on her part.

We both exited my room after getting situated with ourselves. She left my house as fast as she had entered, leaving me alone with the thought of me not using protection with her.

***************

"YOU WHAT?" Tyler yelled, standing up from his seat on the couch. I winced at his sudden outburst, knowing that this would probably have happened. I sighed loudly, falling onto my back. This couldn't have happened and I knew it, Tyler knew it.

But it did.

Tyler groaned loudly.

"Jerome, you're gay!" he yelled. I groaned and sat up.

"I'm bisexual! Not gay," I protested. Tyler looked at me blankly before Chris entered the room.

"What's happening, boys?" She held her stomach in her hands as if it were going to fall off if she didn't. Tyler looks at Chris before standing up and kissing her cheek.

"I'm going out for a while, love," he mumbled, leaving the house without another word. She looked at me with a worried expression before looking down at the floor.

"Chris," I whispered, walking over to her and giving her a hug. She cried into my shoulder softly as she wrapped her arms around me.

"I just want to know what's happening," she cried. I knew that she would get emotional since she was eight months along in her pregnancy already. I hugged her tightly as I explained what happened, making her cry harder than she already was.

"You did that? Jerome!" she cried, pushing me away from her and walking away from me. But what scared me the most is that when she reached the entrance to the kitchen, water started to pool on the floor.

And she screamed.

Loud.

"JEROME," she screamed, holding her stomach. I quickly helped her to the car, knowing that she was going to have the baby sooner than expected.

***************

"PUSH!" the doctor yelled. Chris screamed as she pushed, squeezing my hand as hard as she could.

Tyler still hadn't returned, and was missing the birth of his first born child. I had tried to call him several times in the last hour, but he hadn't picked up. Chris was enduced into labor and was currently giving birth.

"You're doing great, Chris," I said, holding her hand as she pushed. She screamed loudly as she gave the last push, hearing the baby cry shortly after. She had tears streaming down her face as her son was placed in her arms for the first time. She smiled as she stroked his hair out of his eyes.

"Hey, beautiful boy," she whispered, kissing his head softly. I smiled at her as she held her baby.

"What are you going to name him?" I asked, stroking the little baby's head.

"Tyler and I were going to name him either Lee, Slate, or Phoenix. We really havent decided," she said, smiling up at me. I smile back as Tyler bursts through the door.

"Chris, I am so sorry," he whispered. It was noticeable that he had been crying as he walked closer to us. Chris smiled at him, and it seemed that she had forgiven him.

"I know, my love. But look," she said, holding out their son like she just won a prize at the fair. Tyler placed his hand over his mouth before he held out his arms to hold his son. Chris placed their son in his arms and he started crying harder.

"My son," he cried, kissing his head softly.

"What should we name him?" she whispered. Tyler looked at her.

"He looks like a Phoenix," he laughed. Chris smiled.

"Phoenix Lee Slate," she said, taking Tyler's hand.

And we knew that they would be fantastic parents.
