Cross Resort, Phobos

Alyssa eventually decided to submit only a two-day notice to her employer, as she no longer desired to stay on Phobos, and wanted to move in with Jerry. She was not exactly quitting her job; however, she requested a transfer to the company's Kanzen City branch. "Are you packing up already?" asked Jerry. Alyssa looked at him, then sighed. "I don't wish to stay alone here anymore, Jerry!" said Alyssa. "I'm coming home with you!" Jerry did not know what to say, so he decided to stay quiet. Then he spoke up. "I've been thinking very considerably, and honestly I don't think it's a good idea." Jerry said. Alyssa then looked at him. "What the hell do you mean?" said Alyssa. Jerry then spoke calmly. "You deserve better than me!" said Jerry. "You've never been married, and I'm divorced!" Alyssa then looked at Jerry with a stern face. She then took her hand and lightly whacked him on his head. "Ah!" exclaimed Jerry, as he rubbed his head. "Why is this a problem to you?" said Alyssa. "I don't want to hear you say this ever again! You're far better than many I know, especially the jerk Miller!" Alyssa then walked closer to Jerry and without hesitation kissed him. Jerry kissed her back, as Alyssa hugged him gently but tightly.

Alyssa then walked away, in a repulsive mood. She turned away from Jerry. Jerry noticed this, then tried to placate her. "I'm a very bad person!" said Alyssa. Jerry then looked at her shocked. "What? No, you're not!" said Jerry. Alyssa then spoke a little louder. "I'm stupid! I'm dumb!" Alyssa said in anger. Jerry then looked at her feeling concerned. "Why in the hell are you talking like this?" said Jerry, feeling anxious. Then, Alyssa turned around, with slight signs of sadness on her face, as well as her eyes being slightly wet and red in color. "Now you know? Exactly what I feel, since you talk like that?" said Alyssa. Then Jerry looked at her in guilt. "I'm sorry!" said Jerry. Then he turned to walk to pack his bags, when Alyssa grabbed him gently by the hand. She then kissed him again, then gave him a hug. He hugged her back. "I love you!" said Alyssa. To which Jerry looked towards her, then said, "I love you too, Alyssa!" as he hugged her more.

It was then Durand walked in and put his arms around both Jerry and Alyssa. "I heard everything outside." Durand said. "Now, it's invasive of me, I know! But this proves she loves you genuinely, Jerry!" Alyssa smiled at Durand. "Sir, I'm glad you understood me well!" said Alyssa, very happily. Durand then looked at her and smiled. "Can the sir, Alyssa! You can also just call me 'Dad'!" said Durand. Then Jerry looked at Alyssa. "Alright, then! Let's both check out from here, and head to your place to pick up your items!" said Jerry. "I'll have Priya and Arjun, bring some helper robots to move your stuff, and take it to the spaceport on Wednesday!" Alyssa then smiled, as she kissed Jerry. "Let's go!" said Alyssa.

Then Jerry and Alyssa went back to her house at the Dawson dome, along with the mover robots, to help Alyssa pack up and prepare to leave Phobos. Tango Galnac on the other hand, were using the scanned images of Jerry and Alyssa, created by the former's virtual assistants, Priya and Arjun to create a ruse, to deliver to Christopher. On his holo-computer, Rahul was writing many lines of code. Luna also was on her holo-computer and was doing the same thing. Lance was on another holo-computer as he was creating some graphical images. Larkin did the same thing as the rest, however also keying in strong encryption algorithms.

Lance then sighed in relief. "This sure as hell is a lot of work, this is the first time in many years I'm doing graphic designing. That too, for doing the right thing." He said. Rahul chuckled at Lance's statements. "I have to agree with you, man!" said Rahul. "I'd hate to kill one of our own!" Luna was a little disturbed. "It does kinda suck that, he's already into that other girl!" said Luna, disappointed. "I thought he was a cute guy!" Larkin then looked at her. "Girl, you're in the military and he's a civilian!" said Larkin. "Granted his father, also is in the military, but he didn't even know that himself!" Rahul then shook his head. "None of us knew that!" said Rahul. "In a way, we should be thankful we don't have to kill anyone." Lance on the other hand, actually got mad hearing what Luna said. "How could she even dig that guy?" thought Lance to himself. Unbeknownst to Luna, Lance did have a crush on her and was waiting for the moment to tell her. But Luna, just ended up mentioning that she likes Jerry and felt he was a great match for her.

Lance curbed his emotions to focus on the task at hand. Durand then walked in to oversee the project. "How much longer is this going to take?" said Durand. Then Larkin spoke up. "Four hours, sir!" said Larkin. "Four hours?" replied Durand. Then Larkin explained, "We are trying to get the ruse to look believable. Miller won't buy it, if this gives him any doubts, then the Earth is doomed for sure." Then Rahul got a quick question. "I thought artificial intelligence was far advanced and sophisticated, in today's day and age that it can remotely hack devices and disable them permanently." He said. "Why don't we just get an AI to remotely turn off his machine, and bring Miller in?" Luna then looked at Rahul. "It's not that simple, Rahul." Luna said. "That machine has been secured with state-of-the-art encryption and network security. It's been programmed to go off, should there be a security breach!" Lance then shook her head. "In that case, we must double time it!" said Lance. "We should talk less and work on this more. Every second we dilly-dally, just puts us at more risk!" "Agreed!" said Larkin. With that, they got even more busy.

Meanwhile, Jerry and Alyssa returned to Alyssa's home at Dawson dome and with the help of the robots, started to pack her stuff. Jerry felt good for the first time in years. He felt Alyssa could be the one he was waiting for. Alyssa felt no different from what Jerry was feeling for her. Jerry helped to pack as well. Of course, had it not been for Priya and Arjun, surely it would be a rough moving process indeed. "Have you already spoken to the real estate agent?" said Jerry. "Yeah, it wasn't too long nor hard of a process." Alyssa said. Jerry then sighed. "It's funny, this happened all of a sudden and so fast!" said Jerry. "Not sure, if this is a great idea! But, then again nothing is always guaranteed, if you don't try at least." Then Alyssa packed her last bag and looked at Jerry. She walked towards him, then kissed him. "You don't need to worry about me!" said Alyssa. "I'll at least escape this Godforsaken moon!" Then Jerry helped her and the robots to get her things moving towards the spaceport.

It was then Durand called Jerry. "Tango Galnac is almost done with their project, are you ready?" said Durand. Jerry then smiled. "More than ever, Dad!" said Jerry. "Will see you guys back at Kanzen City!" Then Jerry called the resort manager, letting them know he will be checking out early. After all that transpired, Jerry had no reason to stay on Phobos anymore. He then held Alyssa's hand, as they made their way back to the resort. It was a tough period in Jerry's life following his divorce, but now he knew, he will be doing far better in the future.
