Chapter 18 – Battle For The Galaxy

Satellite array, Korolev Crater

Miller then smiled menacingly, as the fake Alyssa wept over the fallen body of the fake Jerry. In the meantime, Priya and Arjun were able to shut down Miller's machine for good. The fake Jerry then got up. Miller was shocked to see this. The bloodstains on the fake Jerry's clothes vanished. The fake Alyssa's expression suddenly changed to a positive emotion. "What the hell is this?" said Miller. "I just shot you!" "No, you didn't!" called a voice from behind! Miller turned around and saw the real Jerry and Alyssa. "Those two you see, are AIs! Digital holograms that look like us!" Miller was outraged. It was then Tango Galnac then took out their firearms.

Durand saw this and spoke up. "Don't shoot!" said Durand. "I repeat, hold your fire! We need him alive!" Miller then in an instant jerk, took out a smoke bomb and tossed on the ground. "He's getting away!" Jerry shouted as he began chasing after him. "JERRY!" screamed Alyssa. "We got to help him!" Carlos then spoke up. "We need to get ahead of them!" he said. "I've got a plan!" With that Carlos got everyone in sync and explained his plan.

Jerry in the meantime caught up with Miller, who was climbing up the stairs. "Where do you think you're going, Miller?" said Jerry. "We still got to settle this!" Jerry then began to beat up Miller. Carlos and everyone else headed towards them, hoping to get far ahead. Jerry continued to thrash Miller. Durand and Tango Galnac entered the room, looked around. Larkin then saw Jerry beating Miller up above on the ledge. "There they are!" said Larkin. Miller then pushed Jerry back. He reached in his pocket to grab his pistol. But, before he drew the gun, Jerry kicked it out of his hand.

Jerry then continued to beat Miller. "You thought you could ruin my life as well as Alyssa's?" said Jerry. "You thought you could destroy the Earth, to save the galaxy? You thought killing everyone would bring Alyssa back?" He continued to beat up Miller. He threw in many punches and kicked him bad. He then grabbed both Miller's shoulders. "No matter how high a bird flies! Should it stop flapping its wings, it'll fall back to the ground!" said Jerry. Jerry then grabbed Miller and with all his strength, pushed him off the ledge. Miller fell into the machine cooling reservoir below. Jerry then jumped into the water with him, grabbed Miller and tossed him out of the pool. Everyone watched as Jerry beat Miller senseless.

Then he pushed him towards Tango Galnac. "Alright, that's enough!" said Jerry. "Y'all can take him in now!" Tango Galnac then grabbed Miller. "Don't you move!" said Larkin. "Lance, if he moves, take him out! No hesitations!" Lance then took out his gun. "With pleasure!" He drew the gun forth, with a silencer attached to the mouth of the pistol. Alyssa walked up to Miller. "If there's one thing I don't regret with you at all, is the fact I dumped you, for being an abusive jerk!" she said, then she then punched Miller across the face. "Yeah, I needed to do that!"

It was then the galactic authorities came in. Miller saw in his horror. They drew their weapons. "Hands! Hands! Hands!" said the chief. "Don't you move!" Tango Galnac let go of Miller. The chief took a pair of handcuffs. "Alright, then! Christopher Miller, you're under arrest again!" said the chief. He placed the cuffs on Miller. Then Jerry went to talk to Carlos. "Hey, man!" said Jerry. "I think I've had enough vacation for one life! Can I come back to work tomorrow?" Carlos then smiled. "Sounds good, man!" said Carlos. "But you just found romance again! I suggest you use the remainder of your vacation to spend it with Alyssa. Besides, you're not gonna have the same job when you come back!" Jerry was confused. "You got something to tell me?" said Jerry.

Carlos looked at him smiling. "Jerry, you've been working at the same anti-matter power production facility for four years now. You never asked for this, but you won't have to work as the maintenance technician anymore! Instead, I'm promoting you to the shift supervisor. For an additional four cloud jewels per hour!" Jerry then smiled. "Sounds good!" said Jerry. Carlos then fist pumped Jerry. "I knew you'd feel this excitement!" he said. "See you Monday!" Carlos then left the satellite array. Jerry then embraced Alyssa. "Let's go home!" said Jerry. Alyssa then kissed him. "Yeah, let's go home!" They headed back to Kanzen City.

Upon arriving the dome, Jerry and Alyssa first went to the former's parents' home. Jerry looked at Durand. "Dad, I still believe it was wrong on my part to have left you guys!" said Jerry. "Don't sweat it!" said Durand. "We know you won't cut us off again!" Joanne looked at Jerry. "There is someone who wants to talk to you!" said Joanne. On her holo-phone, a hologram of a video screen popped up. "Hey, Jerry!" said a female. "Long time, no chat!" Jerry recognized the girl. "Michaela?" said Jerry. "H-how are you?" She smiled. "I'm good!" she said. "Still in Houston, working at the same place!" Jerry smiled. "Good to know!" said Jerry. Jerry sighed. "Look, Michaela? I'm sorry for everything that happened between us!" said Jerry. "No, it's alright!" said Michaela. "The fault was mine. But, please don't blame yourself for anything. Be happy with Alyssa." "I promise." Jerry said. "Thank you, very much!" "Always welcome, Jerry!" said Michaela. "Always welcome! Bye!" "Bye!" said Jerry. The call ended then.

Jerry then bid his parents farewell. "I'll visit you guys, every weekend!" said Jerry. "I'll go home, now!" "I trust you, Jerry!" said Joanne. "Don't come without Alyssa!" "Never will be without her!" said Jerry smiling. Then Alyssa and Jerry kissed again. Jerry and Alyssa proceeded to leave. They got in Jerry's car and began to journey back home.

A little while later, the judge gave her verdict. "I hereby sentence you to twenty years in prison on Jupiter's moon, Titan. No bail, no exceptions!" said the judge. The galactic authorities then put Miller in the shuttle which flew off to Titan. Tango Galnac sighed in relief. Luna then walked to Jerry. "I thought you were cute!" said Luna. "I don't know, if I'll have a lover like you!" Then she walked closer to him. "I hope you don't mind me doing this, just this once." Luna said. "Wait!" said Jerry. "Only if Alyssa is okay with it." Alyssa smiled and nodded her head. "Why it's only this once!" said Alyssa. Luna smiled at her.

Luna then looked at Jerry and then without hesitation kissed him. They kissed for ten seconds. Then Jerry looked at Luna. "Lance actually is the lover you seek!" said Jerry. "How do you know that?" said Luna. "Because he is standing right there with flowers!" said Jerry. Luna then turned around and saw Lance. Lance smiled at her as he walked to her. Luna felt scared as Lance had seen the kiss.

Luna looked towards Lance. "Lance, about what just happened between me and Jerry, please don't think me and him are that." Luna said. Lance chuckled. "No hard feelings!" said Lance. "After all, you didn't know I loved you!" He gave Luna her flowers. Luna then smiled. "I don't need these!" said Luna. "I need you!" Lance then smiled, so did she. The two then began to share a kiss. Jerry and Alyssa then shared a kiss. Priya and Arjun, the two AI came out of the holo-phone and followed suit. It was an amazing end after all.
