*Evening 5:00 pm*
Alice
The evening I had been dreading for the past 24 hours finally came. I still hope they are not after me. It would be really bad if they know that I'm married to their rival. Yes, all the four considered Samuel as their arch nemesis to gain my hand for some unknown reason, unbeknownst to Samuel himself. They think that Samuel is some sort of playboy, since he was surrounded by me, Sierra and Luna, the third one being an obnoxious leech who stuck to us, cause the whole school named us the 'the Good-looking Gang'. I shuddered thinking of that name. Cringe x ten to the power of infinity. But I miss those carefree days. Everything was going so smoothly until..... that man entered our lives. Jan, friend came and shook my shoulders, breaking me away from my morose thoughts. "Alice! Turn that frown upside down! It's time to dress up for the ball", he said in his singsong voice. "Noooo", I groaned as he dragged me off for a beauty session and dress up.After vain resistance and a lot of struggling, I finally got ready for the party at around 7:00 pm. "Who is this girl?", I wondered aloud, stroking the fabric of the beautiful dress(pic on top) Samuel prepared for me. It fits me so perfectly. Strange. "This is Alice Ming, the beautiful wife of Samuel Ming, the famous billionaire/ lady killer", Jan replied, placing his hands on my shoulders. Beautiful?!! "Oh please!", I blushingly retorted, punching his arm playfully.

The work took more time than I anticipated. I had Andrew bring me my suit from home and showered and changed in my office. I decided to let Lara take Alice to the mansion. Wonder how will she look. When I saw that dress, I immediately thought of her. It was a personal design by designer Luke, a good friend of mine. Coincidentally, he had designed it for Alice as a thank you gift. I secretly packed it up for her, since I had brought Luna out for shopping that day. I didn't notice a pedestrian who stepped off the sidewalk until the last moment. I swerved slightly to avoid hitting him. All those clarifications can be done later. Gotta focus on the road.I reached the venue earlier than Alice. What is taking them so long? I decided to wait for Alice. Let me wait for some more time. Just then, Luna waltzed in. "Honey!!! I've missed you so much! Muah~ I was so lonely, babe~Why didn't you come home? Mom was expecting you", she gushed over me. She tried to kiss me, but I dodged a little which made her lips land on my cheek in a wet kiss. Kinda gross. "Hands off please, Luna. And how will I answer you if you ask me so many questions at a time?", I said in an exasperated voice. "Sorry", she pouted . "Sir, I've brought Young Miss here.....", said a voice behind us. When I turned around, I held my breath. She looks even better than I imagined. "Does it look too much? Should I change?", she mouthed to me. I gave her a thumbs up to show that she looks good. She blushed slightly and made her way over to us.

We ended up reaching the mansion a little late because of traffic. When I arrived, I could see Samuel, Luna and Mason outside. What is she doing here? I walked up with Lara since she had to report to Samuel. Ugh. Ever since I've been put under house arrest, everyone including Lara and Andrew report to him. As I walked up the stairs with her, I saw that Samuel had a dark purple lipstick mark on his left cheek. 'Coincidentally', Luna is wearing purple lipstick. The nerve. I know she saw me coming. I'll show her whose boss. Samuel came over to me and put his arms around my waist. "Hey babe~ what took you so long?", Samuel murmured, pulling me closer. "Traffic, husband dearest", I said, putting my hands on his arms. "Hi, cousin beloved. Thank you for keeping my husband company", I said to Luna, who was giving me a dirty look. He gave a quick peck on the lips as some people passed by."Hon, what is this hideous mark on your face?!! Let me wipe it off!", I said, taking out a tissue and wiping the lipstick stain away. How do you like it, Luna? She couldn't tolerate our 'lovey-dovey' act and went inside in a huff. Serves you right. "I see that your lady love can't keep her hands or lips to herself", I sneered at him though my gritted teeth, applying extra force with each stroke. "My, my. Jealous now, are we, Mrs. Ming?", he winced, making me stop in my movements. Oh my gosh, I am jealous! "N-n-no! Why would I-I-I be jealous?", I huffed, turning my blushing face to avoid his gaze. "But love~", he gushed, dipping his head next to my ear. "It's written all over your face", he whispered and nibbled at my earlobe really hard. Eh? "Ah~ what did you do?", I exclaimed, holding my ear. "Just took a bite of my sweet wife", he replied smugly. Jerk. "You-I- But-Arrrgh!!", I stomped my foot in frustration. "Now it's time to make an entry, Mrs. Ming", he said, bending his arm towards me. "Lead the way, Mr. Ming", I smiled, taking his arm and walking in. Wasn't I angry a few moments ago?
"Oh gosh it's Samuel Ming! He looks even hotter in person!"
"He's here with his wife!"
"Is that woman his wife? She looks so pretty!"
"Pfft! She looks so ordinary"
"They are the cutest couple ever!"Humph. If they knew what actually goes on in our life. We entered the mansion and found ourselves in a lavishly decorated ballroom. Charles sure hasn't lost his sense of style. It's become even better. We went around, with our arms still linked, greeting acquaintances and friends. "Alice, you look ravishing!", exclaimed Luigi in this thick Italian accent, kissing the back of my hand. "Hands off, man. That's my wife", Samuel said to Luigi, pulling me away from him by my hand. I couldn't help but blush at that possessive remark he just made. Wish if it were true. But it can't come true. As I gloomily looked around the room, I saw the one person I never expected to be here. Carl Jo.

I was talking to a relative about my marriage when I realised something strange. Alice, whose hand I was holding, went still all of a sudden. I excused myself and turned around to look at her looking at another man with a terrified expression. She is wearing the same expression that she had in the park. And she is shaking like a leaf. She froze on the spot as the man advances in our direction. What exactly is their connection? I pull her towards a secluded part of the room and embraced her, shielding her face. She seemed to stiffen at the sudden gesture and tried to push me away. I slowly rubbed circles on her back and whispered, "Don't be afraid. I'm right here. Nothing will happen", to her. She relaxed a little and covered her face in her hands. Her tiny body trembled with sobs as she leaned onto me. "I'm so scared right now, hic. Don't, hic, leave me alone. Please", she hiccuped between her sobs, pressing into my chest even harder. "Shh.....", I whispered, placing a kiss to her forehead and rocking her gently from side to side. After a while, her sobs died down and she became calm. "Better?", I asked, pulling away slightly and looking at her face. "Yeah...", she sniffed. "Now you have to stick with me until he leaves", I said firmly, snaking an arm around her waist. "Okay", she beamed, her face still shining with tears. Idiot. "Now wipe your face. You look like a mess", I said handing her a tissue. Man. She is even more mysterious than I thought her to be.
