Your POV

We got back over to where Mini Doc was and we held up the recorder as he walked around muttering. He caught us and looked at us "Harassment is a federal crime, Mr. Callahan and Miss Throne!"

We backed off and hit the play button on the recorder, hearing his muttering from the small box. We went back over to Doc and let him listen. "Oh, he's trying to figure out Ivanov's Conundrum. The answer is H equals the Hamiltonian Operator."

We went back to where Emmett was. "Emmett, the answer you're looking for is H equals the Hamiltonian Operator." He stopped and looked to us both. "Eureka! That's right. It all makes sense!" He walked closer to us. "You two really are from the Patent office." We nodded. "We need you you to make that rocket drill." I said. "I can have it done in about six months. But it'll be only a model."

"Well that's no good, we need a full size one, tonight," Marty said. He threw his hands in the air. "Tonight?! You're insane. I don't have time, Father won't let me leave the office until I'm done working." I tilted my head. "Even on weekends?" I asked.

He nodded. "I'll be lucky if I get out before 10 but that probably won't happen. I have a lot of important business to transact." He sighed deeply. "Unless you can get me out of work early. I can't make that drill for you." He said sadly.

Marty hummed "Looks like we'll just have to give the patent to Mr. McCoy." he said. I looked over to Marty as he winked at me a little. I sighed deeply. "It's a shame really, I thought that the rocket drill was pretty fascinating, compared to McCoy's invention."

He bit his lip and sighed deeply. "I can help you, but you have to deliver this subpoena, to Arther McFly." he said. We nodded and I took the subpoena. Emmett went to stand over in the square as I looked to Marty. "We have to deliver the Subpoena to my grandpa." I sighed deeply. "Wait, you can't but I can. I have no relation to your family. My parent's didn't move here for another 50 years, so I shouldn't run into anyone that can disrupt my time line here."

He nodded gently and sighed. "Now we need to figure out how to find my grandpa." I looked around a little. "What about her?" I asked. He looked over "Who Edna, she had stopped me earlier to interrogate me about the speakeasy burning down, asked if I knew anything about Carl Sagan."

"You mean Doc," he nodded. "When did you run into her?" I asked. "I stepped out of the inn earlier when you were still asleep." he shrugged. "Needed some fresh air, I guess." I nodded before smirking. "You're worried about Doc too huh?" He shook his head quickly "No I would never, he can handle himself." He rubbed his neck a little.

"Uh huh, whatever you say McFly." I said and looked to Edna. "Well we better get started trying to find your grandpa." he nodded and we walked over to Edna. "Hey Edna, What's the scoop?" She turned around and smiled. "Mr. Callahan, anything I can help you with?" she asked.

"You don't happen to know anything about the Soup kitchen do you?" he asked. She nodded happily. "I deliver soup to charities, The orphanage, the farm for unwanted children, the asylum. There's too many to name, Although I can't have the Stay Sober Society have it's meetings in the basement anymore, ever since Kid Tannen bought the place. They don't let anyone in the basement."

I tilted my head as they talked, I could hear Emmett muttering away behind me. I glanced over only to see him stop, chuckle nervously and wave. I smiled at him a little. It was cute how he was so nerdy and awkward. Most girls went for guys like marty, but i've always had a soft spot for the nerdy type. "We can help you deliver soup." Marty said, I looked over as Edna nodded. "What charity needs soup to be delivered?" she asked.

"The S.S.S," he said. "That's true, we are going to have a meeting here very soon and the soup kitchen does offer refreshments, but we don't have anywhere to meet." she shrugged gently. We hummed as we walked to the soup kitchen, walking in as a guy in a suit carried in three barrels of "special" soup. I rose a brow and glanced to Marty.

We walked around for a bit before we found a door, He tried to open it but it was being blocked by tables. I noticed Emmett behind us. "Emmett, dear?" he looked up from his notebook. "Y-yes?" he asked. "Could you help us out with this door, it's too heavy to lift." he nodded happily. "I'll see what I can whip up."

I smiled as he got to work. Marty nudged me and I shook my head gently. We went around to the counter as the gang member making soup walked to the red pipe and used the butt of his pistol to tap on it. Making the elevator on the floor go into the basement. The speed rack came back up and the guy from earlier put more barrels of "soup" onto the rack.

Marty got the guys attention as he sat down at the counter, newspaper in his face. "Can I get some soup?" he asked. "Duh, this is a soup kitchen." the gang member said. He slid the bowl of soup to Marty who took a bite before shaking his head. "Y'know, this soup could use a little something." he said.

The guy looked up and hummed. "What is it?" I tried the soup and hummed a little. "It could use some salt." I said, "what did I add too much pepper?" he asked. I  shook my head. "No no, it just needs some salt to add to the flavor." he nodded and got up going to the rack of spices, moving the rack with the barrels on it over and going to the soup on the stove. Marty walked to the red pipe that was by the door, hitting it with the recorder to get the elevator to lower, making the rack tip and the barrels of soup to roll onto the counter at the back of the kitchen.

I smirked and nodded to Marty as he looked at me. Edna walked in and looked at the gang member. "I'm here to deliver soup." she said. The guy jumped up and nodded quickly. "Yes, Ma'am. Here you go." he said as he handed her one of the barrels of "special" soup from the table. She left with it and soon Marty and I followed to talk to her.
