Jauregui POV

The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living. They say you grieve because that's all the love you wish you could give but can't.

"Lauren you haven't said anything in two hours." Madison says. I look at her and continue to walk. Madison is my childhood best friend, she knows me like the back of her hand. "Lauren I know you're hurting."

I turn my head and look at her again this time with anger. I'm trying my best to hold in all of my feelings. I don't want to blow up on Madison, cause she didn't do this. It's not her brother that's dead. She didn't just find out that a bunch of idiots killed her only family.

James was my older brother, my protector. Whenever I got into trouble he was right there to help me out of it. When we were little and a bunch of boys would bully me he would fight them. So knowing that he is gone is the worst feeling in the world because who's going to be there when I need them. I feel nothing but rage right now. He didn't deserve to die , he was a gentle soul. To think this all started because Kiana accidentally killed one of their people. In her defense he was lurking around in the dark. Oh god Kiana is going to be heart broken when I tell her James is dead.

James was planning to proposing to Kiana. They were in love now he's dead. I'm going to kill all of them for this.

"Lauren!" Madison yells. I look and notice she is holding my shoulders. I blink and try to contain my anger.

"What." Is all I say.

"Talk to me." She says. I can feel my throat tightening, and my eyes watering. I clear my throat before speaking again.

"I'm fine." My voice cracks.

"You're not fine. Bay is dead. Do you hear me Bay is dead." Madison says calling James by his nickname. "Okay you don't have to talk about it. What about Kiana? What are we going to tell her?"

My mind is spinning. I can't think straight, I only have one thing on my mind and that's revenge.

"We don't tell her yet." I say. Madison looks at me as if I have two heads.

"Are you fucking nuts?" She replies.

"No." Was the last thing I said. I started walking back to our little hide out.

"The fucking world has ended. There are walkers, and you want to hide the fact that some ignoramuses killed him." She says with hostility in her voice. I roll my eyes.

"What do you want from me Maddie?" I look her in the eyes.

"I want you to feel. Show me how you're feeling cause holding it in is not the way to go." Madison says.

"I'm sorry if all of us didn't have the happy childhood you had. Someone of us are accustom to hiding the way we feel." I explain. Madison looks at me with pity.

"Fine." She walks into the hideout.

"Oh good you guys are back. Where is James?" Kiana says.

"We haven't found him yet." I reply looking anywhere but at Kiana.

"What? We had them and they didn't tell you where he is?" Kiana ask not believing me.

"Actually they did tell us." Madison says.

"Shut up Madison." I spit out.

"Why? She deserves to know the truth." Madison rolls her eyes.

"What's going on guys?" Kiana ask. Her green eyes looking back and forth between Madison and I.
