Once we were a House of Cards.
The Eldest is the Queen of Hearts
As the base, she fell apart.
It all fell down when she lost her heart.
King of diamonds was next to fall
He felt lost when he had it all.
Joker sat loosely, clinging to his long lost home
unwilling to accept that he is now alone.
No one saw the last few,
The Jack, Red Queen, and Red Ace too.
They sit together never apart,
They look through the remains of their once strong home to recover the young queen's shattered heart.
The Ace is always wondering,
Would my heart do?
She worries she is stuck with no way forward,
stuck in the scattered remnants of her once strong house of cards.
